Like better energy regen or more ooc procs…cluster poop of abilities you have to use to even maintain competitive dps. If only we was team pink. Not to mention druid tanks needs better aoe threat or a lower global cd on pulls or swipe
I’m speaking as someone who plays the druid class, why? It’s the same as Wotlk when it launched. Druids should not be identical to rogues, pally or warrior tanks. If you want all that in a druid feral class, retail has it.
Blizzard has done thrown out any intention of staying true to the original by changing paladin. The precedence is set and gate clearly open to any classes to get changes.
when they wanted ret paladins to be closer to Fury warriors in DPS? It was a mistake but making more mistakes does not make the game better.
Compared to what other classes? People like to meme on the “one button rotation,” but does that actually even exist?
What do ferals need to maintain? Rake, Mangle, Rip? Maybe faerie fire also? Only 2 of those really ever fall off and need refreshing during a fight. I suppose you could add bearweaving and lacerate to that as well. So really it’s only 5 dots, and only 3 of them need to be actively maintained. And you only need to swap stances periodically to maintain lacerate…
And why shouldn’t that be rewarded with the lowest dps in the raid group? Are you saying that other specs are actually easier and more rewarding?
Hello, me arcane mage
Me do baja blast until swirly sound then me do purple noodle spell
Sometime me do 6 bajas if blue bar long, if blue bar small me do 3 bajas
I agree with OP, feral and guardian need better representation in raids and should be satisfying to play like all the other specs.
If there are more ferals in the raid, then specs like fury warr will be more enjoyable too.
as some one who mains a druid in retail, you get 1 or the other, not both.
giving a cat equal or better energy regen does not make them a rog.
taking the AoE threat generation off of the GCD does not make them a warrior.
its like saying giving a paladin the ability frost bolt would make him a mage?? no id just be a paladin with another spell they’d never use.
before pull, cast gift of the wild, pot.
opener, Shred, rake, shred, shred, savage roar, tigers fury, berserker, FF, shred shred shred, rip, shred, shred, bear form, thrash, mangle, maul, Gift of the wild, cat form, shred shred, savage roar, gift, shred shred, shred rip, rake, bear form, thrash, mangle maul maul, gift, cat form, shred, savage roar, shread shread, shred, rip, rake, gift, bear, maul maul, mangle thrash, gift.
then work a few bites into that rotation, a few FF’s, a few maintaing bleeds on multiple targets, and when to use your c’ds so you can be affect for aoe and ect.
feral druid is litereally one of the most complex classes, it is not a 1 button rotation type of class, and asking for quality of life improvements for that class is not a bad thing.
That’s good, mage rotation changes based on a lot of factors.
Other specs rotations are set in stone and boring
Are you talking about procs/cds? Because what other factors exist that change your rotation from just keeping up living bomb, spamming fb/ffb, pyro on hot streak? That’s assass levels of simple.
as someone who plays druid in retail did you?
A) stop playing prior to the change in legion when you can change class spec in any rest area?
B) think my post somehow unveil I play a hybrid rogue/proc warrior class that no one else can play?
C) have a complete brain fart?
D) all the above?
sure as heck makes them closer to one than not giving it to them
my point, which you obviously failed to comprehend as stated above is keeping classes as separate as possible is a good thing, you can disagree with that as you like. I’m sure your opinion is valuable to someone…just not me
it would be giving them a frost mage spell as you clearly just stated
Have you played a feral? You’re just blurting out what we have to keep up without any relevance as to how long it takes to build back 40 energy with no ooc procs. Oh ya we can just powershift to bear lac/mangle, then powershift back to cat. Then cast GOW, then back to cat its messed up and you know it. I know exactly how to be competitive but its not exactly rewarding either bc you’re still mid pack. High risk=high reward
that’s really what it comes down to and it aided in ruining retail, buffer classes didn’t want to buff anymore and just wanted to do the same DPS as similar geared pure DPS classes.
I see druids in raids all the time.
so it would be more rewarding if you were higher on the DPS chart rather than mid pack?
high risk should = high reward…
Fury warriors should be allowed to dual wield two Cats…
would that make them the furry talent spec?
what is the “high risk”?
I’m picturing the FL tank method? Fury is the vehicle and you can equip two passengers that are Cats…
