Powerful Liches and Warlocks can make Death Knights.
The first Death Knight was raised by Guldan.
The original Four Horsemen were raised by Arch-Lich Kel’thuzad.
Amal’thazad, the Arch-Lich of Acherus, could do it without having to retcon lore.

Yeah you’re not remembering what happened. The DK killed every paladin in their path then the Light stopped us from raising Bolvar.
We had no problem getting to his body.
paladins are just one step from DKs. a lot of pallies became DKs
Not by choice. Plus, all those DKs are dead.
No, Bolvar cannot create any more Death Knights.
If you create a Death Knight now, it will be “in the past” before shadowlands.

Just keep in mind there are other ways to make Death Knights.

Because the PC with Ashbringer and every notable NPC was out helping the Priests in their class hall at the time. If you had tried that when it was just a handful of people there, you wouldn’t of made it through the front door.

the only sticking point I have with that…DH’s. Non elf DH’s would be cool. Lets have some.
even elves blow up in the process so…if gnomes or say tauren accept the chance of body explosion, sign a waiver ofc, have at it really.

No that’s not what you said. You tried to say a bunch of peons threw the DKs back and that didn’t happen at all.
And so what if you had Ashbringer? We didn’t bring a stick. We had powerful weapons too.
It wasn’t a bunch of nameless NPCs in the Temple. I know Liadrin and Maxwell was there and they were both powerful paladins and leaders of their orders.
Just face it. Blizzard turned Paladins and Priests into a group of wusses but you can continue to think what actually happened didn’t happen if it makes you feel better.

DKs never learned not to stand in the fire. Light’s Hope chapel is basically holy fire. Now if they brought a healer or two it might have gone differently.
There’s more than one way to raise the dead. If players want it they’ll find a way.
I like that Mograine forgot what happened the last time he tried to storm that place.
