If you turn xp off are u queing into a different bracket of only others who have xp off? Or are u mixed in with everyone?
29s is the active bracket now, its own bracket.
Should be heating up for DF too.
Experience off queues are popping.
Yeah with only other players with xp off. The only bracket you will get a queue to pop with xp off is 29.

Before turning xp off was even a thing, bis twinks existed. I had 9 of em.
yes I also had twinks in the 19/29/39 bracket back then as well. bgs also didnt give xp though.

Yeah, I had 29 twinks back in the day too. Then they added XP and we were shunted into XP Off eventually and that was the end of our guild twink side thing.
Marks could be traded in for xp via a quest.
so what you’re saying is everyone was in the same games AND leveling players could get xp if they wanted to?
actually everyone transfered or rerolled on an agreed upon server/battlegroup. if you didn’t then you’re really were just there to kill lowbies.

Twinks flat out ruin the fun of battleground leveling. Sure they have fun, but for 10 other humans, it flat out ruins the fun of the game. Sure “everyone can twink” we don’t want to do that scummy action. It just makes the game unfun.

Extremely crappy xp but yes. Like bad enough that no one would lvl through pvp because it would take centuries.
bliz just needs to normalize gear and level power in sub max level bg’s
they can easily cap gear and they can easily boost everyone else up to make twinking worthless

Others transfered for Scheduled matches throughout the week. Marking a gaming calendar didn’t mesh well with most imo.
Heirlooms were very powerful, not many players had the currency (marks) to purchase them. An enchanted Heirloom enjoyer could control + own Battlegrounds.
There was not much competition, mainly other Twinks/Enhanced Levelers to create a balance within the force. This became boring pretty fast for me + many others, leading to other pastures. The changes created a new toxic breed.
This is a gear based game, lower brackets have many more options to create a viable RPG character to combat this. Without going full on devil’s advocate, these 10 humans ruin the game for themselves and teammates. Degeneracy has it’s effects when chasing Experience/Leveling without playing right.
Just like Legion? Premades with Meta class/specs controlled the flow. 90%+ Win rates.
You want to gamble on balance to maintain this?
In the end players would benefit from learning the process (which is not difficult) of maintaining Characters gearing power in this game.
Starting from the beginning.
End game doesn’t show a glimmer of forgiveness, learning early is the way imo.
yeah i feel what you are saying but you gotta understand what sub-max bg’s are to most players
they are just a passing experience and it isn’t worth chasing much gear before you level out, combined with opportunists on the AH flipping the buyable gear upgrades to redonk prices most of the time
i have had my fun twinking at times but the power delta is obviously broken and needs to be brought down
and this is on top of party sync that motivate tons of premades in leveling bg’s
