Can Blizz ban gold trading for item in raids?

Rolled a 95 from court H trinket, resto sham who didn’t need it rolled for it, got 99.

Fine, i will take my lost.

Then he messaged me saying he didn’t need it and was willing to sell me the item…

Can we actually let people trade items from the raid, but not gold ? Its getting ridiculous

They could make it to where you only rolled against yourself in group content. True personal loot.

But how would they sell tokens?

Just ban gold trading in a raid… Item trading should be doable, not gold.

Its getting to the point its not worth pugging raid, you have people like the mage up there rolling 616 items when they have a 629 item just to sell it in raid. People will simply stop raiding (i stopped pugging cause of that)

This is approved degenerate gameplay/behavior so it stays. :stuck_out_tongue:

Go mining and get null stones or dig up wax to find tinderboxes. Extorting players for gold isn’t a great look. Oftentimes, when my guild has to grab pugs, and the pugs are rolling on gear that is worse than their equipped they get the boot!

We don’t mind pugs rolling on upgrades they will use; we have issues when they don’t need it and are trying to sell it. The funnier part is that the pugs I’ve seen do this are the ones being carried… Saw a 613 warlock do this last night in BRD normal doing less damage than a 592 BM hunter

It’s fairly common for the “overgeared players that carry your pugs” to be 75% afk and at the bottom of the meters.

I guess they carry us with their mere presence?

Welcome to the exciting world of going outside the instance to do the same thing, but slower

Ya, but most people are too lazy, you still stops 80% of people doing that in raid you cut the problem by a lot.

Or if you are in a raid you cannot trade gold with the person in the raid for a time period

That sounds extremely annoying when you ask a guildie to grab you a rune/flasks/whatever when they have to run back to town.

Also, though: Even if this was to happen, there’s still no guarantee that the shaman wouldn’t still have rolled on the item and vendored it.

Thats still better than holding gear over a ransom xD

Meh, I think a less headache-inducing solution would be need makes an item non-tradeable, these changes just introduce some unnecessary headaches.

And it still won’t prevent the OP not getting that item

people have been trading raid gear for gold in WoW probably since there were raids and gold.

ever been on a GDKP run?

Theres no ideal scenario here, but if you stop gold trading in raid and out of raids for a couple of hours you cut the main part of the problem.

Let guild trade gold, not in a pug setting which is the main problem.

Look i stopped pugging raid for ilvl upgrade cause of that and you know most people are starting to. It will simply bring down rsid engagement and im sure its already down due to that problem

sounds great to me.
If you roll and win and I want it bad enough, Im perfectly fine paying a fair price for it.

Not the same settings… Are you this dense?

We had ilvl lock on trade for a long time

Yeah about that.

Blizzard is now cracking down hard on people that receive illicit gold, whether or not they know they’re getting it. Hang out in the CS forums once in a while. It’s insane.

Btw, I’m totally against people selling gold but I can’t fathom how you can still punish someone that has no clue what’s going on.

If you let guilds trade gold, you are just introducing more maintenance you have to do for no benefit.

Also, I highly doubt a large number of people are quitting raiding over losing a trinket roll, they would have done so well before now.

Make item non tradable after a couple weeks into the season… but again gdkp is lucrative they wont do that

It was not this bad in last exps from my experience, in this one everyone is rolling on every item even with way better gear/stats

Hard no on that. Down for the conversation on need rolls not being tradable. Not letting guilds and such set their own roll requirements and trade items is a terrible idea.
