Have a bunch of Horde toons & have a friend wanting to see the alliance side of things for some change. Both of us enjoy battlegrounds quite a bit. Is there a recommended server/group for said activities?
If you are more of an old school player then it’s hard to beat Emerald Dream’s atmosphere. Wpvp is fun and seems more people are into casual bgs with most guilds you join is easy to find others who will group up with you.
Or at least this was my experience there a couple seasons ago.
Use caution if you’re considering an RP server. Last I checked, they’re only instanced with other RP servers for war mode purposes which would might mean a smaller population in some cases. I believe alliance also outnumbers horde considerably in these layers. In my experience, the underdog faction is much more enthusiastic about WPvP and has more groups in LFG for the call to arms weeklies.
If you’re set on an RP server, I also recommend emerald dream. If not, I recommend stormrage. It has an enormous alliance population and it was formerly a PvP server so it still has its share of participants. If you live closer to the Chicago datacenter than the LA one, go for it.
Be aware that the server you select won’t have an impact on your random BG experience. Server is really only important for guild options and low home ping.
