Can a US account gift the war within to an EU account?

Hello, can a US account gift the war within to an EU account? and if so are there any essential steps he needs to do? asking because he gifted me a 50$ game card and i am unable to use it on my EU account, so can he use it and gift the expansion?

You must purchase from the EU WoW Shop to gift your European friend, and not the NA WoW Shop.

EDIT: Fixed after finding support article.

You can always buy Battle net balance in EU region (I think they’re region lock) for that amount and any taxes with it.

i just read this on wow restrictions :

  • You cannot use Battle.net Balance to buy a WoW expansion or WoW game time for a friend on another region.
    this means he cant use the 50$ game card and use his balance to gift it? he has to pay from credit card again?

Yes or a different payment method that allows the purchase of this then gift it.
