For how many spells, exactly? I mean you’re the one pushing for them to make more changes, ironically.
From what I can see (my DK isn’t max level) that’s literally the only one that references pronouns.
Yeah, and if it’s standard issue it’ll be easier to report the people that put jokes in the pronoun sheet.
I would love for TRP to be implemented into the game. Just gives extra details, about our characters. It’ll be completely optional. Like, the sheet will be there, but you don’t have to use it. I can put my gender/preferred pronouns, in there.
Me too I love TRP it’s my fav addon!
Yeah I mentioned this as well but:
I mean… I don’t know what non-binary people feel when they realize they have no choice but to pick a gender, but what about how I feel when I have no choice but to be an object to represent myself as when it literally just says Body instead of male or female?
This person has not let on about it and is one of the worst examples of someone you can discuss it with because they’re not bothered at all. I mean they were probably one of the people that wanted an option like this. Blizzard doesn’t know the difference between adding something and taking it away apparently.
I would be insulted as male-intersex, if someone asked me what body/body type I was in place of gender. I very much identify as a male, not a shape.
Ok, while I agree the change is kinda eye-rolly in a vaccuum, the reason they did it is because of the newest genderless dragon race we can now all create. They clearly did not want male or female drakthyr bodies, and seemed to be intentionally going for a more…can I say androgynous with dragons?.. appearance.
So my bet is that instead of having separate UI labels on character creation JUST for drakthyr, they just changed the setting across the board. They probably thought blanket fix handled the dragon bodies, as well as the RP gender identity complaints. Doesn’t necessarily explain why they felt they needed it in classic, but I’m not exactly privy to Blizzard’s inner discussions.
Just my guess, idk for sure. The change matters little on it’s own, we shall see if this is indicative of a series of fruit-bowl adjustments they intend to incrementally make over time.
My vote is on the end game being more then just two body types. Humans and trolls already have more then two body types in the game files, might as well make them player accessible.
I have so many forum posters on ignore, that I’m now seeing their posts.
Even with “female” and “male” symbols removed and replaced with obvious “male” and “female” icons, I don’t see the difference except an icon change
The fact the game is still stuck in a “2 body type” system just further perpetuates the “2 gender” narrative.
Which isn’t available for Wrath Classic. I can believe this reason up to a certain point. Why the change for Wrath Classic is still confusing me but hilarious, at the same time, for me, anyway.

I hope that’s the case, I’d love some more options, like how they used female undead rigging for some of the Kul Tiran male npcs.
No it’s perpetuating that there are two in game body models available for the race you picked. There are many more body types in the game currently, and it would be great for blizzard to let us pick them.
Let me be the bulky troll bois!

Because you forget Wrath is built off the retail client, so whatever client they have of that time gets swapped right on over and they’re getting lazy about fixing it to be more like ‘it was’ previously.
Ok why is this thread not only still alive but also not taken down like omg

So laziness. Typical.
So it’s to amend RP gender complaints. Well this is my RP gender complaint in that, they clearly didn’t fix it of course. We all asked for more options, they decided to just take away the working one we had, it almost feels like a parent punishing their child for asking for too much.
"You want more toys? Okay well here, no more toys for you.
I mean they really think this is gonna be fine across mediums?
Why are you afraid of discussion? Furthermore, if you don’t like the thread, why are you here posting in it?

The only thing “taken away” was some symbols. The buttons are still there. You still have to click them to change your character model. Nothing of any value was removed. Unless you greatly identified with the symbol of mars
Yeah, I’m not saying I personally agree with it, it’s a tiny red flag among many, but I hoped to offer the best explanation I could come up with in absence of an official reasoning from Blizzard.
Ssshhh, there’s a protected class of posters, here, and if you don’t agree with them, prepare to meet their powers they don’t believe they have.

Truth is it was only removed because one of the staff decided to take the word of the community blindly and didn’t thoroughly look into it at all. I discussed it in a ticket with staff and they had no idea why it was removed because it was fine.
