Calling it Body 1 & Body 2 feels objectifying

If any of you really feel this strongly about this, you would have already quit the game to stop supporting a company you find offensive.

But here you are, wanna guess what you sound like? Starts with a “K”…

Been here since 2009. No breaks. Never missed an AOTC. I am highly considering not buying DF and walking away. I do have game time until January. Sadly there’s also addiction and attachment to my characters. But I am working on it. I went from playing 12-16 hours a day down to like 2 or skipping some days.

So your like me, established for over a decade. Every profession maxed on a max level character. Several “mains” I enjoy playing. For myself, I have 2 70s rolling into wrath as well.

So, will you even see the character creation screen more than once if you choose to buy Dragonflight? Because we will all roll the new race. Once, that’s the only time you will even have to see this horrible change…

News flash. Our toons do not have below there, they actually are sexless avatars. More importantly my toon’s gender is up to me to decide no one else.

Not to mention if Blizzard plans pan out we will actually be able to just specify what pronouns we use.

Yes they do. At least a Barbie version. Also as someone who dated someone and ERP’d with the characters, you can certainly imagine that they do.

Now that should be a choice, because I am

Crusader Rabititus

I am not, and will never be

Crusader Him Rabititus

And you cant imagine them now as the gender you want unless there was a big sign during the character creation telling you " hey this is a male and this is a female"?

I just imagine going somewhere, like a doctors office. Filling out a form to be a new patient. A lot of forms will ask gender. “Male/Female/Other(whatever they decide to call their inclusion option)”. Imagine going somewhere and the form is like “Body type 1” “body type 2” etc. Like gender exists in life. Removing it completely and replacing it with these images is just offensive. Like the “female” one is smaller, which in a way can be more offensive as now your saying male = big/strong/muscles etc and female = short/skinny/fragile

Everyone is Unique!! I remind my 7 year old daughter not to compare herself to other girls and what she sees out in the world of how women ‘should’ look and act. Everyone should be treated as special and unique that each person regardless of orientation has a voice. I teach my daughter to speak her own voice and stand up for what she believes in. Each person is Unique and brings something we all can learn from.

Not only did I explicitly state that I hated hearing this but you also had to, for all accounts, “scream it” as the start to your post as if to antagonize and tick me off. Well it worked.

Yes well, your daughter is then going to be confused when all her life to this point she has been taught by you that everyone is unique, but then grows up in a world that tells her instead the opposite to this that everyone is equal.

Unique is to be different. Equal is to be the same. I thought equality was just to be the same in our rights and freedoms? So why does it now mean to grey out all the colors of Human society in literally every other aspect and leave everyone with no choice but to be monochromatic for the sake of neutrality?

That is not natural nor is it realism at all.

Then say she goes to a place like the WoW forums standing up for her beliefs that multiple people disagree with and they pick on her and you then need to teach her reality. Isn’t it funny how this works?

No one told you to post this thread you chose to and yet you keep complaining about having people against you, why did you bother posting this or having it restored if you are really that sensitive to people disagreeing with you?

What kind of sense does that even make? You’re contradicting your own words.

Why would someone ‘sensitive’ go through all the trouble of restoring the thread they were ‘sensitive’ about if they knew the same thing would occur that would impact on their ‘sensitivity’?

The clear answer is I’m not sensitive to people disagreeing with me, seeing the blatant ignorance and idiocy of others just ticks me off.

Haha, you saying this isn’t sensitive is funny because you posted in a public place and you are getting bothered by what others say or are saying.

They should’ve waited to make the change until the ‘pronoun’ choices were also within the game.

Yeah I’m sure the doctors don’t weight you, check your height and many other things like checking chromosomes among many other things that the game doesn’t ask for your character and how being at certain weights, age, gender, etc can affect you.

Then your definition of sensitive isn’t accurate at all. At any point you are free to produce literally anything constructive here. Anything at all, one piece, one small paragraph, on topic. Can you do that? No? Wow I’m shocked.

You’ve chosen to be useless for any constructive discussion here whatsoever, you’ve indicated clearly enough that you’d rather just be yet another petty fly here, treating it like some damn High Schooler thinking they’re in the “cool clique”. Well you’re in the wrong place and can go see yourself to a "T"roll thread somewhere, you’d probably fit in better there.

Because really, I see someone not worth wasting breath over at this point. I have nothing further to say to you.

It’s easy to write you something you just don’t like hearing it, I have explained to you in previous posts like others that this isn’t a big deal that the change is happening and happened whether you or others complain about or not but here you are complaining and complaining like anyone is going to actually care when they don’t, Blizzard made a decision and that’s that.

Furhermore and past that, you have shown to be disrespectful of others and pronoun choices they use because you can despite knowing it’s highly offensive and rude but you still play it like it’s okay, the problem here is you not me.

Good, I’m not going anywhere I assure you so unless this thread dies out I’m not going to stop calling out you and your hypocrisy.

Speaking of Bizzard making decisions about “small” things and details that you imply nobody cares about:

That. is a complete. and utter. blatant. lie.

Nowhere, not once, anywhere in this whole entire forum have I disrespected another community member’s pronouns. If you’re going to claim that I did something like that to someone here, then you better have sources.

Really, I remember you saying you don’t have to use her/she about a male dragon despite the fact knowing it and you said because you don’t have to, just like how you said that LGBTQ+ people were the ones demanding this change then when asked to back it up you didn’t and couldn’t, so just stop you are literally embarrassing yourself and I am actually start to feel bad for you due to the amount of backpedaling you do.

And more than likely they won’t change it back so again, they made a decision and they won’t change it back more than likely, the new xpac goes live on the 28th of November so you and everyone else better get on board or get out, not saying you getting out would be a bad thing given it would more than likely be an improvement to the community due to the more negative people that leave the less negativity so it’s a win, win in my book.

You know there’s a vast difference between a calm opinion over a decorative UI element going away and pitching a complete and utterly nonsensical fit about some conspiracy to sap and impurify your precious bodily fluids because they changed a tool tip in a way that both simplifies later additions and can be pointed to cynically as progress?

Are you high? Serious question. That was taking this to levels I haven’t seen yet here and I’M the one who’s going overboard about things?
