Call of Water quest

I do not get enough time to pick up the quest from the elemental in Silverpine Forest. He shows up and as soon as I click on him to get the quest he vanishes. There is an NPC there that will re-summon the elemental for you if you do not get the quest, however, after running ALL THE WAY back to Islen (by Ratchet) to get another Water Sapta and return to the NPC, he summons the elemental and the same thing happens, he only returns for an instant, no time to get the quest.

Edit no luck again, going to activate “Auto Accept Quests” in questie, hope the addon is quick enough.

BTW, I just did this quest on the same computer different toon earlier and there was no problem, the Elemental stayed long enough to get the quest and beyond. Could it be a layering issue? I did not think my server had layering…

Shaman water totem quest can't be completed

I’ve done the Water Sapta quest here in Silverpine Forest about three times now. I missed speaking to the Elemental the first time around, and had to go get a new sapta all the way in The Barrens. I’ve done that three times. Each time, I bring the troll the sapta to resummon the Elemental that I need to talk to, he summons him, and I can only see the question mark quest mob, that I need to speak with to complete the quest, for a brief moment before he disappears again. Have you given some of the recommendations in this thread a try? Namely something about a brazier, it looks like.

I have done most of this now, I have not dropped the quest, as there is nothing to drop, I already turned it in, I can not pick up the last part. I am currently omw to try again with the auto accept feature of Questie to see if that works.

Ok, the final time, I did things a bit differently. After giving the Sapta to the NPC, he told me to stay close to him, so this time I stood ON HIM. It was different this time, I saw all the elementals right away. I followed him to the brazier and the NPC did his thing, I never left his side. He walked over to the island and the Elemental Quest giver appeared, I clicked on him and Questie auto accepted the quest immediately, however, the Elemental was there for quite awhile afterward this time.

I am not sure if “crowding the NPC’s space” was the answer or the Questie auto accept or both, but it worked.
