If people knew how hogs are treated they wouldn’t be so critical of people who are trying to improve the hogs situation. Hogs are mass produced, live their entire life in a cage inside a warehouse, stacked one on top of each other so that the animals on the bottom are bombarded by waste, and most cages aren’t even big enough for the animal to turn around. If people need to pay a little more for humanly raised meat I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

All I know is, literally every time there has been a basic standard of any kind imposed on any industry in all of modern history, they have always freaked out and said “We can’t stay in business anymore under these conditions, the entire industry will collapse!”
And then they figured it out and they were fine. So like…I’m not seeing a real risk of incoming doom to the pork industry here if they have to give their pigs enough space to be able to stand up and turn around at some point in their lives.

House seats are static, whether there are thousands of Americans, or millions. California spilt out, and for the better.
I remember when Nevada was deep red. It has gained a house seat or two, and now it is Blue. Even Arizona went Blue. For better or worse, these heretofore mentioned “California Exiles” get the credit or blame.
I think it is better that the Progressive Mindset flows from California in to Arizona, Georgia, and other States that wish to improve.

I love how basic laws against animal cruelty are seen as a clown fiesta by society depending on whom makes them. California is known for their clown antics but at a glance I see this and I’m trying to figure out how this is seen as bad.
