I live in Los Angeles and there are very very good points and some that are just like um, what are people thinking? This is one of the what are they thinking moments.
I just couldn’t imagine. I’ve been to parts of California many times, a lot of it is pretty. I just couldn’t imagine dealing with many of the people there, the laws, and the stuff that goes on over there. To each their own though, many people wouldn’t want to live where I do either I guess.

Reading the article its just because folks want pigs to be in a better environment. I say that’s a good thing.
Suffering actually makes meat taste awful. Hence why folks at a slaughter house usually try to kill the animal as quickly as possible.
If an animal is destined to be slaughtered, I’d rather they have at least a decent life just out of respect for the animal.

I think about 4% of pig farms in the US atm can meet the requirements, by Easter there’s going to be a scramble for ham and it’s not going to be cheap.

I think at this rate it’ll be cheaper to go to the panhandle area of Texas and bag me a hog.
They have vids of hog traps catching sounders of 20+. That’s tons of bacon.
