Baine turning over Derek was against Sylvanas, not his own people, specifically because what was being done to him went against what Baine saw as the soul of the Horde.

He did kill Horde soldiers in order to free Derek, though.

Why is Baine okay with killing Forsaken to free Derek?

In order to set Derek free, our player characters are forced to help Baine take over the Forsaken ship where he is kept captive. Baine ultimately asks us to get keys and whatnot, and we are forced to attack the Horde members defending the ship. Some of the Forsaken surrender and leave but others are killed, and Baine is perfectly okay with this. Why? Is it just me or is Baine super hypocritical? I mean I thought he was just forgetful since he pretty much forgot about the Alliance attack on Zan…
