Calia is Queen now apparently

Except technically she’s not. Being the daughter (or even son) of a king doesn’t automatically make you the king or queen. You have to be crowned and she was never crowned.

It’s a dead nation who’s people go against the law of nature. Rules have changed apparently.

Which goes back to my point that she’s not the damn queen.

People need to stop getting their rights of succession facts from Disney. That includes Blizzard.

But it’s blizz’s story. Who are you to say what’s right? Magic doesnt exist in the real world. Why are you following real world ideas about being crowned?

Yeah it is their story and in their story they keep showing how she’s not the queen. That even came out of Calia’s mouth.

The person that read Blizzard’s lore?

On her way out to escape the Scourge, Calia shouted “A horse. A horse. My kingdom for a horse!”

Some stable hand was like, “ok here ya go” before being eaten by a ghoul.

wait she wasn’t queen the whole time?
what’s his face and arthas are dead, she isn’t queen by default? lol idk how it works

Interesting upgrade since in the previous quest “Clandestine Movements” she’s just referred to as Calia.

But you do not write it. So you do not mean anything. We’re all talking nonsense over what isnt truly verified yet considering people dont know what’s going on.

You mean like Alliance “love” the fact that Horde get BOTH the Retake Gilneas and Bel’ameth questlines and Gilneas Tmog? On top of that access to BOTH? :smirk:

Dude, do you not understand what this thread is about and just want to argue with me for the sake of arguing?

Blizzard wrote the lore that said the king skipped over Calia and named Arthas the heir to the throne.

Blizzard wrote the lore that said Calia ran away and married a commoner.

Blizzard wrote the lore that said all the citizens of Lordaeron where either murdered or fled the city to join other human settlements, like Stormwind.

Blizzard wrote the lore that said the Forsaken now pick their own leaders, which they demonstrated by them choosing to follow Sylvanas then choosing to form their own council.

Blizzard also wrote the lore that had Calia say, in game, she’s not the queen.

So whomever wrote this quest text that calls her “Queen” Calia was either drunk or they’re just breaking their own lore.

Yes…King of the Scourge, not of Lordaeron. There is no technicality in this distinction, because no one is ever crowned King without ratification by the nobles…all of whom he murdered. He was never ‘certified’ as anything but a Prince.

As for the Forsaken, and whether or not Calia is their Queen…why not? Sylvanas was proclaimed the ‘Banshee Queen’. By whom, exactly? Herself, and her loyal ‘subjects’, apparently. If that’s all it takes to be Queen of the Forsaken, then Calia has her beat by a mile, since she actually has a legitimate claim to rule over the (undead) people of Lordaeron.

Oh Touche!

That’s very true also. Seriously though… If they’re going down this road; they can’t just go halfway down it.

They might as well go all the way down the road and remove all faction barriers. At least then something’s consistent without self contradicting itself

Think they call her “The Pale Lady” or something

I am King of the pringles.

No one asked for the Horde to be further disposed by an Alliance inclined leader.

I’m surprised Blizzard just hasn’t come out and deleted the Horde faction since our identity has been so eroded by “peace” you might as well call us the Red Alliance.

Just yell out WOLVERINES and destroy various platoons of Alliance. You will feel much better.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a typo, honestly. Since nothing outside seems to suggest the Desolate Council stopped being a thing especially since the whole Heritage Questline was about Desolate Council leading the Forsaken into a brighter tomorrow.

That said, on a hilarious technicality, she likely can be recognized as the Queen of Lordaeron as she is the last surviving Menethil. If or not that means anything other than a symbolic gesture would remain to be seen but I’m more leaning to this just being a mistake.

Can’t wait to see the crying tho.
