Calia as Sylvanas 2.0

Here’s the thing: I do not trust this to be the way it ends. I do not trust the writers, especially the one who created Light Zombie Calia in the first place, not to be playing a long game that is going to end up with the Forsaken being gladly ruled by her and transformed into her image. They’ve just realized that doing it in this patch isn’t going to go over well.

As I said I remain skeptical. This however was absolutely a step in the right direction.

The quest had several things I’d explicitly asked for and even stuff I outright didnt think were in the cards like having Belmont and Faranel lead the Forsaken.

They appear to have listened. That is a good thing. I hope they continue to listen as that will yield more good things.

I’m not however going to be completely pessimistic. Because if I didnt think Blizzard was capable of delivering a quality product anymore I wouldn’t be playing.

They’re doing to Calia what they did to Baine: Making her supreme leader, but not officially. In the end, only Calia’s opinions will matter, just like Baine’s.

Calia wants to give Gilneas back?
All Forsaken will want to give Gilneas back.
Calia wants to withdraw from all Horde lands?
All forsaken will want to withdraw from all Horde lands.

Calia Derangement Syndrome.

Also when tf did the Forsaken have Gilneas. Jesus Christ you people are inventing things to get mad about.

Oh no not that zone we never had! I can’t believe she gave away a zone we never had, used, or even mentioned!

Damn you Calia! Damn you to Hell!

Blizzard has a history with this style of thinking.
After all Baine had full complete control of the Horde and didn’t require, nor even want, any Horde Councilor’s approval in regards to the vulpera.

Bruh it was a quest to unlock the Vulpera.

What you wanted a huge bureaucracy aside? That gameplay you’re really itching for?

The writing is on the wall. We are rightfully mad. Calia should have never touched Horde story. She belongs in the alliance. That is her home. She serves no purpose in the Horde but for the reason to kill any faction pride we have left after Bfa steamrolled all over it and made thousands of Horde players leave because nobody wants to play as the loser.

Blizzard had just stated that the Horde is evil when under the control of one figure. That a council was completely, wholly, unilaterally necessary. Their first act after making this decision?

Baine has full complete control.

You’re being disingenuous like we’d have to sit through Futurama Beaurocracy when all we’d have to do is watch people give their votes. We could’ve had all of the leaders in the room. They could’ve voted.

Blizzard decided Baine has full autocratic control of the Horde.
And just wait until the Forsaken given Gilneas back, proving Calia has full control of the Forsaken, too. Cause no one present would trust Genn Greymane after Legion.

Okay well die mad about it, I guess?

This was a genuinely well done Forsaken storyline. The people pretending otherwise are getting worked up about situation that haven’t happened that they themselves imagined.

It’s genuinely sort of pathetic. Swear to God hating this game has supplanted playing it as a hobby to a frankly worrying number of people.

You’re intentionally making up things about the quest line that never happened

Undercity is locked behind a door. Sylvanas is not back yet. Calia gives Gilneas back to Genn. All in all it was trash. A good Forsaken story would acknowledge that hating and fighting the alliance is part of their culture and deliver us the chance to drive them off from our lands. ALL our lands. Starting with Silverpine and Hillsbrad.

I feel like if Sylvanas came back they would also treat her with the same apprehension. That’s what gives me hope. The Forsaken are bitten once twice shy. “Stay, but stay out of the way.”

If… big if… Sylvanas ever goes back to the Forsaken. I hope she does have to earn thier trust back too. It’s great. Lots of hope all around this patch.

You’re being a paranoid whack job.

Believe it or not, Blizzard is not trying to actively antagonize their player base. It’s just ineptitude. They tried to make a good game. They just failed.

So them taking a step in the right direction should be seen as a good thing. Convincing yourself this isnt a step in the right direction but actually a ploy to get your hopes up so they can maliciously smash them to bits is outright paranoid delusion.

They hate me because they know I am right.

Blizzard is as predictable as a one block rubix cube.
And before you go on and on, as if I don’t want you to get Gilneas back:
I don’t care if you get Gilneas back. I care that Calia is an Alliance character who aids the Alliance to the detriment of the Horde.

Racial leaders are supposed to be characters that players of that race rally around and enjoy. Instead, Calia is a character that Alliance players rally around and enjoy.

Good thing she’s not their racial leader then.

Better go tell Blizzard/Golden that.

Am I the only one wishing they’d just call her the Pale Lady? Pallid feels like they’re trying too hard.
