Still a glaring issue with Hammers not prioritizing players and not pets. This is a huge one to solve yesterday.

I’ve always conceded that PvP is a different animal from PvP, and that PvPers have legit gripes.

That being said, it’s still a major step in the right direction for both.

Am I the only one that yells “F U” everytime that hammer drops? It just feels so good. I need to get used to it again since I’ve been Herald for so long

Priceless.

Agreed.

Is this going to make a real difference in pvp?

With some of the nerfs to other classes, it should help it feel more in line. With how PvP is designed with micro CC and mass mobility, this does hurt Shake the Heavens uptime.

I’m not so sure. Currently hammer of light is critting (with all my buffs up) for approx 1.3-1.5 mil. 25% increase along with a 15% increase with final verdict means it could potentially crit for upwards of 2.1 mil. It sounds like a lot, but don’t forget that people have 8 mil hp and healers are regularly putting out 1-2.5 mil heals.

As for the hammers, they are currently critting for approx 120k max. An extra 15% from one talent bumps it up to 138k. Then the extra 30% while wake of ashes dot is active bumps it up to 179.5k.

So ultimately imo, it still won’t be that great but it’s better than nothing.

even with all of this. is it still worth switching back to from herald?

It all depends on your playstyle. Choose what you like. That being said, I have no doubt Templar with these massive buffs will be competitive.

Numbers will tell.

With the changes to penitence and burn to ash to synergize with templar, both specs will play the same. Templar will have a small spike of damage and more passive survivability.

You’re forgetting the massive 25 percent buff when they crit in AoE lol

after some play I dont think this will be enough for pvp
shake the heaves always drops because of the amount of cc and kiting and 2 extra seconds is not gonna stop it.
10 less stacks to get a reset sounds nice but… again the amount of cc and snares wont allow us to fully use it
radiant glory works better with herald because of auto dawnlight proc on wings proc… and herald has superior healing and hammer of wrath to templar.

I am not convinced this is it
