Buying a boost leads to RMT

Well… If one assumes that milk unlike cereal must be kept cool and thus will have to be returned to the refrigerator after pouring… then by pouring the milk, returning it, and only pouring in the cereal at the end, you cut down on refrigerator down-time and get the optimal post-exposure life out of your cereal.

I will attempt to counter this using logic of an anti boosters

“But I don’t do it that way so I don’t want you too either, you shouldn’t be allowed to have milk”

Level 60 gets to level 70 to buy that and train that flying mount but only has 2000 gold.

Wants now, not in weeks.

Idea go buy gold get flying mount in hours not weeks.

Yes, because a when I am level 58, the first thing that will be a prioity for me will be buying that 5000g mount I cannot use till 70.

Outstanding Logic there OP.

He seems to think tons of people who didn’t boost aren’t gonna buy gold to get their flyer anyways

That or there is some magic force that makes non-boosted characters immune to the temptation of buying gold.

You know, last time I checked, Blizzard provided boosting was not around in Classic. By the OPs logic there should not be any gold buying in Classic then. Hmmm…

There’s also the fact that Blizzard showers you in gold in TBC. I’m terrible at managing/making gold and I’m not too worried about it. Also, druid lol

Same!! Although I do plan to play the AH a little more seriously this time around. I have learned a thing or two in the past few years.

Out of gold? Spend a few hours doing all the SMV quests. BAM you’re rich again

Hey now, that is not “The Spirit of the Game”. MMOs are for leveling, not standing around in an AH making gold!

Yep, people got their dailies now for a guaranteed income source so that’ll cut down gold buying for the alleged “Casual”. As for people who just wanna burn to 70.

Do you think removing the boost will stop them?

They’ll just boost via gold
Gold they can buy via a credit card
Gold they’ll also use to buy their flyer

OP doesn’t get the fact that anyone who is hellbent on skipping vanilla leveling, can do it one of various ways ALREADY LOL. They say the classic community doesn’t want boosts. If that’s the case, why is it so successful? If classic players didn’t want it it wouldn’t exist, but there it is. So clearly, classic community DID want this.

Did I say that outloud? Crap!!! Foiled again!!!

The key for me is resisting the temptation to buy/craft the early purple crafted gear. I’m not sure how it is with other classes, but it’s a marginal upgrade for me going into kara. I don’t really need to spend thousands of gold crafting primalstrike vest lol.

My recommendation to everyone: go into kara wearing ghetto blues and start collecting gear in kara. Kara is essentially ubrs+. Save your gold.

That is what Kara is for. It is the place you go, to go from Ghetto blues, to something half-way capabile of support Gruul’s or Mag.

Basically it is your first Welfare EPICs. I say that with tonge in cheeck, for some Kara will be difficult and maybe even something that takes weeks to work on. But just know, if you are working on it progressively, Kara will soon become so mindless, you run it purely for the weekly drop chances to shore up gear needs.

In original TBC, even the most relaxed guilds had Kara on farm status.

How does leveling from 1-58 teach a player how to farm for a 5,000 mount?

Hey now, no fair! Stop trying to use reverse Logic on them. That is an advanced topic we will cover next semester.

It was tinfoil hat a decade ago and look where we’re at. Give an inch they take a mile.

It wasn’t tinfoil hate, it was logic LOL. The fact that people honestly thought the reboot wasn’t gonna go this way is shocking though not as shocking as how hyperbolic everyone is.

Learned that money is important for skill training, mount at 40, repairing gear, buying consumables, etc. Going from 1-58 doesn’t teach you any of that. The escalation of gold sink increases and the play will just see thousands of gold need to be made… if they’re already willing to bypass the level system via money why not the mount one?
