Buy out Blizzard from Activision

I’m always on these forums, as you can tell by my post count, but if I worked for Blizz I wouldn’t want to come here as a Blue  As Kaurmine I can voice my opinion and say “whatever I want” and that’s the end of it, maybe someone will get grumpy about it but it won’t go any further than that.

If I were a blue and said something then every.single.person in the thread is going to have an opinion on it, it’s going to end up on Reddit, MMO-Champ, maybe some other third party sites. And if it’s not exactly perfectly worded to account for any interpretations of the phrasing of it then it’ll become a big thing

As much as I would like for Blizz to comment here in the forums I get them not doing it, some people are crazy lol.

Oh god could you imagine the dumpster fire this game and its story would become if disney bought it…? Would get the star wars treatment…shudders

I mean i dont expect them to answer any and everything but what they arent doing right now isnt great either.

Your complaint is for the developers who are assigned to those classes. How is a CM or CS rep going to assuage your concerns if the developers don’t let them know what’s going on?

They laid off non-development positions mostly related to e-sports and marketing in the February 2019 layoffs. They then proceeded to hire more developers across their teams.

Doesn’t it still get updates? I thought they just killed the e-sports associated with it.

The MMR is awful, so many people are leaving in droves. The MMR for storm league (rated pvp) is broken. They promised four heroes this year and we only got 2. There is almost no response or feedback, the dev team on hots has been cut down heavily. The game hasn’t seen a new map in a very long time either.

And they did ssay they were going to hire more dev people but then why did wc3 reforge not get enough time and resources? Why did starcraft first person shooter get cancelled, why is shadowlands not even close to being finished. Why is diablo 4 so far off. What are all these “new devs” doing if they even exist at all?

There is so much dumb in that statement.

Instead of saying “this statement is dumb” how about you give your feedback on why you think i’m wrong. But i’m assuming you have no feedback, you’re just blindly loyal to Blizzard.

It’s worse than it is right now, and that’s saying something

It does, but the rate of new content has been slowed down extremely since then. We used to get new heroes quite frequently. Now we have only had 1 hero this year

Don’t forget to mention the awful and neglected Matchmaking rating system that is literally getting multiple people on the hots forum saying they leaving the game.

i think the creators of the human centipede films should buy out blizzard. would really love to see what wow turns into

Imagine if EA buys ActiBlizz. Things like these make me realize maybe we’re not in the worst timeline.

This isn’t just a company issue. The gaming industry is infected. This is what happens when money becomes people’s god. This can only get worse until humans cease to exist.

I will buy Blizz for 10 billion and then run to Antarctica to escape the tax men

I wish I could be like blizzard: do a good job 5 times in the 90s and leverage that into decades of benefit of the doubt

I do not think its possible to buy out blizzard from Activision. The 2 companies were merged when they were previously owned by a third party. So activison and blizzard as individual companies do not really exist anymore.

If you’re trying to propose this to save the “old blizzard” you’re mostly too late already. Besides Microsoft wants that money too, you think they also won’t pressure Blizzard for sales and cash?

They seemed to be doing fine until like 2010ish and just lost their damn minds. Overwatch is the only half decent thing they’ve popped out lately and even it has some obvious issues.

I wouldn’t mind as long as it isn’t Microsoft that buys them. Microsoft is definitely the company that programs go to die at.

  • Skype was leading online calls and died months after acquired by Microsoft

  • Mojang used to give bi-weekly updates to Minecraft, now there is one moderately sized patch every year.

  • I’m sure we will see Bethesda die soon too.

Only sell Blizzard to activision if you want a Siege of Orgrimmar length patch every patch cycle.
