Buy out Blizzard from Activision

Bezos could buy it over his morning omelette.

People want to believe Activision controls Blizzard like a corpse puppet, because the alternative, that Blizzard constantly makes bad decisions on their own, isn’t something people want to hear.

(quietly wonders if the OP realizes that this could be a very bad thing)

Not gonna happen. Plus, Microsoft is bad at managing game studios.

If Blizzard went private again, things might get better, but yeah, you’re totally right. As a public company Blizzard’s purpose (make money for shareholders) is in direct opposition to what players want (a good game with good, plentiful content).

I don’t believe anything would change if Blizz managed to sever ties with Activision.

Uhhh wut are you talking about Kevin?

They are a confused M$ hater.

Microtrans M$ did not patent lol. This was mobile games doing to show it works. And its the publishers of xbox games who use it to blame. Not Microsoft.

Blame the game maker. M$ didn’t make forteza release like 5 cars and buy the rest lol. Forteza made it that way.

And the industry as whole killed game rebuys. Sony, Nintendo…they all hated game rebuys. And its actually a dead issue these days. Not many go buy the physical game. As its a pita to remember where the hell the disk is a year later and you want to relive some old times. DDL that stuff is the norm.

Very very unlikely, I mean a lot of the talent has already left, that is not to diminish the talent that is still there but how has franchise development been going since Metzen left?

We have transitioned from typical fantasy tropes to cosmic scifi… from a world centric design to a systemised one where each patch throws away all the old and brings in all the new.

Blizzard-activision is now fully assimilated if you couldn’t guess by shotty remakes and thoughtless PR statements. Flagship warcraft 3 was a dumpster fire. I equated that to mcdonalds making a big mac with moldy bread.

Unless if the other company had deeper pockets, creative ideas wouldn’t get shelved so often

Ok. I’ll do it. Where do I sign?

How about Disney? They have deep pockets, right?

I can see it now. The next expansion is…Mulan.

Point is they ran off talent. Money will not make up for that in today’s crunch time development systems.

Activision Blizzard is worth like $60,000,000,000. Even if you cut the two in half, that’s still a whole lot.

No but Activision calls the shots.

You wouldn’t be able to rip Blizzard out of them without them having a say.

Who would want them anyway? They have Warcraft and nothing else to show atm. They’re almost like the Disney of the gaming world nowadays lots of flashy looking stuff but none of the buck.

This isn’t even remotely true but you’re free to believe whatever you want.

From everything we hear internally everything has gotten worse at Blizz studios than better once they teamed up with Activision.

Hard not to draw that correlation.
