step 1. buy recurring subscription
step 2. verify that funds have been removed from your account
step 3. cancel subscription
its that easy, and if I’m wrong then Blue has to delete my post, or post that this is wrong.

True, but why would you need to cancel?
This is the most important part. Don’t go by when you bank places the funds on hold either. Give it a day or two for the funds to actually clear as it’s not an instant process.
That’s not how the forums work. The forums are primarily for players to respond to other players.
Those who replied to you in the CS forum were also correct in their replies (and it was a better place for this sort of question).
Isn’t 30 day only changed for people that buy game time with Battle.net balance?
Can sub monthly just like always.
You got a blue reply in CS too that supported what others had told you
Or just get a reccuring sub and cancel when you quit.
so in other words Blizzard made this move pointlessly. Kinda like that loot-a-rang trash move they pulled a while back.
Pretty sure recurring subs haven’t changed.
Only buying blocks of time with battle.net balance.
I thought the same thing OP, but I’ve had it clarified to me, the big stink here is that buying Game Time is possible without a bank account or credit card (afaik, subbing requires either or). So, for people who 1) can afford 1 month of game time at a time* 2) but can’t get approved for a credit card or satisfy requirements for a bank account, this change was a showstopper.
*buying a month of time at a time: you absolutely can be in a financial situation where $15 is NOT gonna break the bank but $30 would be a big ask. I have been in the past.
It also complicates gifting time, which I’ve done in the past, though back then I was sending physical cards.
