Now, I remember. Wait, was it Carhagen defending or suggesting.
dude you just thought of the most Forsaken thing ever
yeah that would be the most forsaken thing ever. Also, add in instead of treats. Vials of assorted mixtures
Defending.
I only brought it up cause he once found out my Twitter and knew I talked about him too.
Omg thats him?
LOL thank you for informing me of this. Had that guy blocked since day one
That was a nightmare of a thread.
You do make a compelling point, IMO.
Teldrassil was less than 20 years old.
Night elves have been through A LOT without losing faith in Elune or giving up their sense of duty (though individuals can and do go their own ways and that’s fine – didn’t bother me with Firelands, for example).
If it’s more like Firelands where a few split off for their own reasons, great. If it’s more like Darkshore where an entire group of night elves split because they’re suddenly mad at Elune for not doing something when that is never been how Elune works even when face eating eldritch abomination bugs are crawling all over the place… it’s not so great. For me.
I feel like the narrative is pointing to a rebuilding soon. Blizzard keeps focusing on Azeroth zones and giving them more life, we seem to be stopping the parallel universes and alternate dimensions thing, the narrative is already there for a new world tree, and a lot of the older zones feel outdated with their narratives being about Deathwing still.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we get an Azeroth rebuilt expansion next with a reimagining of Teldrassil and the undercity etc
You can repeat Smallioz’ words as much as you like, but it contradicts the lore. Elune grants the Night Elves their power. That’s what the whole Night Warrior circus was about. Or am I mistaken? Are you gonna tell me the fearsome Amazonian warriors see Elune just as a meek goddess of healing and wisps, and not also as a goddess of war? Come on. Not to mention that the frustration also stems from the fact that Elune didn’t save her children from the Maw, or from becoming undead.
Your obession with the Night Warrior ritual is a little weird, when it was performed twice in their entire history, that we know of. Once it was used to help carve out the beginnings of the Kaldorei empire, than 10K+ yrs later Tyrande used it.
Elune does have a history of non interference in regards to world ending threats/threats in general.
You can be ignorant all you want, but it doesn’t help your case
What Elune does is pretty well established. She does bless night elves with certain abilities, but being a war god doesn’t mean she descends from the heavens smiting right and left.
She’s always been pretty hands off when it comes to determining fates, more generally working with blessings.
Intervening to prevent the Teldrassil elves from becoming wisps and sending them to sleep is fairly proactive… And, importantly, the latter part is in response to a prayer.
Like, this is Elune as normal. You might argue that’s not helpful, but it’s worked for night elves up to this juncture, so a massive break seems out of character.
That’s also not what’s claimed ingame. Try to recall the Darkshore storyline where Nathanos kills the Nightwarrior Sira Moonwarden and raises her as a Darkfallen. Sira lost her faith because she became empowered by Elune after an extremely dangerous ritual and… lost. Not only lost her life, but also her soul, which didn’t get saved by Elune.
Sira Moonwarden was a WARDEN, not a night warrior my guy.
She was. Educate yourself.
She was a WARDEN my guy. If you’re going to make claims about the lore, at least know what class a character was
Maybe I’m confusing a character (never played the Alliance scenario).
Like I said, individuals can vary…
There’s also only one night warrior. Which is Tyrande.
The black eyes in other elves were a side effect of being near the ritual. Or possibly fighting under the permanent lunar eclipse in Darkshore. Which is a great example of Elune intervening indirectly.
I am… like 90% sure Tyrande is the only living Night Elf who has held the Night Warrior powers and 99% sure that Sira Moonwarden helped find the ritual of the night warrior, not that she used the power herself.
