Why are you trying to create an “us vs her” narrative with Drahalina and why are you recruiting other people to join in in tearing her down. I think you enjoy dogpiling.
You’ve questioned my motives, why can I not question yours? I know how you’ve spoken unkindly about Drahalina in private, you’ve stated you do not like her, you do not understand her references, so when I see you continuing to reply to her agressively I wonder why you are doing this.
no, you made a claim that I have issues, what are those issues?
You want to imply I have mental illness, then go ahead and name it. What I told you I told you in confidence but if you want to continue to call me crazy or a psycho then go ahead. I have been very candid here about my mental health struggles I thought I was in company who would understand and respect that. I never imagined that some people would use that against me, but since I was vulnurable and shared that information then I guess i deserve it right?
i have advocated here for men’s mental health issues, I have put aside petty forum squabbles when my friend needed a mental health checkup but you are sit there and take my mental health issues as a joke or an insult then go right ahead Micah.
The cat’s out of the bag now. I am autistic, it’s not a secret anymore. I have Asperger’s Syndrome.
You prove to me every day that I made the right choice in unfriending you.
As I mentioned this honestly looks like a summarized version of what happened with a touch of comedy to keep it light. Its probably done for players who may not have played through BFA and have no idea what has happened.
Which we can’t blame them in BFA you barely heard of Teldrassil until you go to darkshore… nobody seems to mention it… at all. And if they do never in the full context of what really happened.
This does not address the Horde v Alliance relationship. Their actions, regrets, hopes and etc. Seeing a forsaken talk about the Darkshore campaign both before and after the burning would be really interesting. If the Forsaken is presented in any capacity beyond something comedic or monstrous it will help humanize them.
Why did he follow those orders? what was passing through his head? what does he think now?
And I know you voiced this would mean the end of Blue v Red… it wouldn’t. Why should it? Its just two soldiers talking of past wars. They can find themselves on opposite sides again.
there’s a scene like that in War Crimes before Garrosh blow up the Inn is Razor Hill. I really liked that scene. just a couple of Horde soldiers wondering why they were following a despot Warchief, of course it was in the book and not ingame. It’s probably one of the only things Golden wrote that I quite enjoyed. I liked War Crimes, it was good novel.
I mean if Teldrassil is narrative poison, then better to just stabilize the patient and hope that the poison clears out of their system without killing them. There is no antidote to the poison that won’t risk further damage or death to the patient.
We’re not in the dark here. We have been down this road before with Cata and MoP and then WoD/Legion. Many folks at the end of MoP felt like some folks feel right now, i.e. that Blizzard had not adequately addressed the issues raised in Cata and MoP. Blizz basically moved on with WoD and Legion and hoped that time would heal the wounds. It didn’t completely. We still debate Taurjo, Theramore, Dalaran Purge, etc, but I think with less raw rancor than there was back in the day. The pain is dulled at least.
Dragonflight will be Blizzard’s attempt to walk the same road with BfA/SL. And honestly? It’s probably their best option. I do understand the desire on the part of some folks to insist that Blizzard confront directly and resolve all the issues raised in BfA/SL. Honestly, I do. I was right in there in the flame wars during Cata/MoP. But it gets you nowhere. It leaves you feeling frustrated and angry with a game that you may have previously loved. Trust me. I walked away from the game and from the lore/forums for awhile after Cata/MoP when I realized I was investing way too much emotionally in the state of the game.
I will continue to hope that the game/lore will improve in a way that all/most players enjoy, but I will try and not get too wound up if it doesn’t.
I take the parts of a expansion that I like and enjoy those parts and ignore the rest when I can. It’s an amazing feeling when you realize you aren’t actually forced to dwell on the negative aspects and can enjoy the things you do like
Perhaps… but Blizzard keeps twisting this dagger. They seem to enjoy the melodrama they create. Why else kill Malfurion? Why else create a Night Elf antagonist who wants to destroy elune for Teldrassil… you know instead of the Horde who started the war, committed the atrocity and are now back at orgrimmar or where ever their conscious free of guilt?
Its a matter of time until Sylvanas returns and is accepted back as a hero who had a little oupsie but now we have a new threat to deal with and only she can save us.
He’s not really any more powerful than any other faction leader at this point, they’ve all been turbo charged. But it feels like someone had it on their personal “How do we handle this very strong character” list so long they’ve ignored that we’re not in Cata anymore and he’s not meaningfully stronger than everyone else with screen time.
I personally don’t care because I have no feelings about the guy, but it’s just weird.
It feels like a waste because 1) Ysera had a great arc in SL. Regardless of how the rest the expansion went and 2) She has a daughter more than capable of fulfilling the Aspect role. So there’s literally no reason to kill Malfurion off
Yeah this whole ELUNE MUST DIE FOR TELDRASSIL and Malfurion dying for unknown reasons are the main reasons I refuse to touch Dragonflight.
I am going to wait and see, but if its more tragedy fetish for the sake of the kink thats going to be a hard no from me. I can’t understand their decision and if they wanted to put all these issues to rest and move on its really not that hard.
Couple good, positive cinematic to bring the night elves out of eternal victimhood, rebuild somethings and go back to their WC3 roots for the extra nostalgia points.
Thats it. But they refuse to do it and keep doubling down on it… it makes no sense. This has Danuser written all over it.
Amen, I mean atleast baine taking ysera’s place might lead to that story line content he was supposed to get in SL that blizzard never ended up doing. Always thought he should become a spirit walker.
Edit: not to mention he can actually go hang out with Anduin considering how much he apparently misses him and the two of them can hopefully stay in shadowlands together.
The only time the Alliance lose is the prepatch, lmao.
They undo every single thing the Horde does, sans Teldrassil – and they’re about to undo that too.
