The game is a chore to play whether you are playing retail or classic. Grinding quests and reputation vs grinding soul ash or stygia or dailies or what not. End of the day it’s a grind one way or the other. There are aspects they put in both retail and Classic that are not enjoyable, the devs and player base know aren’t enjoyable, but they are left in there for whatever reason. Maybe so that after it’s done you get some sort of a feeling of accomplishment knowing you overcame whatever grind and don’t have to do it anymore unless you chose to go back to it for whatever reason.
Tagging mobs though was the one thing I am glad they changed over the years.
I am not say it is new, I am saying it reminded me what it used to be like when a new xpac dropped. The last few xpacs I had not been exited about because of apprehension of what they would move around in an attempt to make characters feel “fresh” w/o actually adding anything. Plus IL and then finally level squishes just were the final nail in the coffin. It is going to be funning seeing classic TBC toons higher level then retail toons here in 2 weeks though.
I really wanted to start a new one, but I just don’t have the time to get to 58+ before June 1st. Since my brothers and friends are all 60 I don’t want to fall behind. Kara is/was my favorite raid and I want in on that ASAP.
Maybe you could find out the exact 9.1 release date or fill us in on how our feedback towards all the terrible systems is being handled right now? Any updates on PvP gearing systems…pretty sure there are a few massive threads calling out the gear disparity problem with no one from Blizzard addressing it as an example.
I actually had quite a different experience.
Most everyone was quite polite save for a very small number of those across which I came, and I managed goodly progress on an alt despite the tidal wave of new players.
I even beheld the return of queue lines for singular quest mobs whither conversations were had and groups formed in the same physical in-game space, in my case which would last for nigh on all the rest of the zone thereafter as we aided each other in our questing endeavors.
Actually, this is what happens in a living game with full servers.
You actually see people in the world from your server!
While it does make leveling harder, it’s an amazing sight to see!
Hint, don’t go to outland on launch day. Or better yet, spam dungeons for rep while people who don’t know how to play fight each other for quest mobs
Remember the lines to kill low level quest mobs when Classic Launched? There was a line around the field in the Abbey. People were polite, patient took turns and made groups to get everyone through as quickly as possible.
Someone complaining about how someone else got a tag before them but I’m the entitled one for calling them out
Go back and re read if you need to but if you use your head and think about the sheer amount of people out there leveling with prepatch this is someone literally being a child because the missed a tag
I know you need to think that it’s all about you, and everybody else is entitled but you. You must be so much fun at parties, passing judgment on everyone you speak to, finding them wanting, and using that to try to make yourself sound less like those lesser mortals.
You read it and found you could make it fit your narrative. Gratz?
People have that mentality in retail even though we HAVE shared tags. lol I’ve had someone whisper to me before about stealing all their mobs and I was like You get credit too…
Also if you’re ever rushing to get to a named mob or rare, watch them pop all their CDs to try and kill it before you can get there.
