Well, as I said, I already quit, and my honest suggestion to people would be to do the same, as I don’t think blizzard will change, even as their ship sinks, they will keep on course until they hit the bottom of the ocean.
Well, I hope you’re happy. My arena partner doesn’t believe the consolidation is even happening tomorrow, so he’s decided to stay.
It’s going to be on you tomorrow for not at least reaffirming that the consolidation is taking place and find many players stuck where they didn’t want to be.
It’s going to be equally on you when players like me moved tonight out of fear of ending up somewhere undesirable, when we could have stayed in our home server a bit longer.
It’s pretty messed up that Blizzard wrote a long blue post today about stuff that could have been talked about pretty much whenever and didn’t talk about something happening tomorrow at all.
It’s possible that this could take place after tomorrow (like on August 10th) based on that blue post wording. My concern is that I don’t really trust Blizzard on anything they communicate. Especially when they go silent.
The 4-hour maintenance which does not appear to be for anything else is a sign to me that they’re going to go through with the consolidation tomorrow… but maybe it’s for something else and that will come on August 10th. The Era clones thing happened on a Wednesday after they used similar wording for that.
I understand where your arena partner is coming from, it’s definitely not great for arena points etc.
Yeah, I think I’ll personally go. He can always transfer; unless they decide to lock certain servers while they’re at it, adding final insult to injury.
Did they buy twitter or twitter buy them? I won’t question the legitimacy of this post rather than rant at them for not having the gall to come tell us on their own forums.

I just went onto my character select screens and if you goto shop you’ll see you can do a free transfer and it will show you what destination realms are for you
I put in a ticket requesting a refund on my tabs. The GM said they had no power to do so, and suggested I post a request in their Customer Service forum. That thread was DoA.

I took care of all this last week. The toons I care about are on servers that I chose.
I am not impacted by this consolidation but I have been following it out of curiosity.
I am surprised that they did not provide any further communication after the initial post. Just awful support on this lol. Well, I guess we’ll see what happens afterwards… maybe - since you might lose access to your characters for up to two weeks.
Wouldn’t that be a slap in the face if we don’t find out or get a post until two weeks from now rofl?
This. I expected they would at least tell us where characters will end up. “A new destination realm” isn’t terribly specific. Do they plan to shuffle all these characters to a fresh server, bombard an existing one, or send them to random servers to evenly distribute characters?
