I leveled up to lvl 50 and then i was bumped back to lvl 48…

this has been a huge kill joy…
ive contacted blizz a couple times to get nowhere…

why would i lie about two lvls
pls help this is extremely frustrating and i would like to be appeased for my difficult time
this was on a char named strix in kolazstrais
While there’s a very very small chance that a player could lose a single level during a server crash if they just happened to level right before the crash, it’s almost impossible to lose 2 levels.
What were you told when the GM looked into the issue?

that he couldn’t do anything pretty much and that he forwarded it to someone else that could…

That’s a little different then. If it’s been moved up to a specialist, then there’s likely something that has happened.
But those take time. I see Vrak writing a reply, so let’s see what he has to say

It has nothing to do with if we think you are lying or not, Addversary, it is about what we can verify. From what I can see from the Game Master’s response, they forwarded your issue for investigation. That is really all they can do, they can’t simply grant 2 levels to your character, that is not within their power.
I’m not sure what more can be done, or how quickly anything would happen. It is likely you’d be able to reacquire those levels a lot faster than it would take to complete any bug investigation.

It’s totally understandable, Addversary. I am going through the more recent logs to see if I can verify when you hit 49, as your ticket seems to indicate you were almost 50, but not yet 50.
A level 50 Achievement would have been a bit easier to verify, but otherwise we’d need to check the logs for the other levels you may have reached. I won’t be able to manually level, but if I can find something it may help for an investigation.
yes pls and i know it sounded confusing but as i reached lvl 50 it bumped me back to lvl 48 instead of 50…

Generally if there is some kind of data loss, it does impact a fairly large group of people.
Looking at the logs, Addversary, I’m not able to confirm that you reached or lost experience.
I’ll give you the timeline as I can see it.
You hit level 44 on 11/15 at 9:11 UTC, which took a little under 3 hours.
You hit level 45 on 11/15 at 9:58 UTC, taking 2855 seconds.
You hit level 46 on 11/15 at 21:59 UTC, taking 6226 seconds.
You logged out shortly after and didn’t log back in until 11/18 around 2:00 UTC.
You hit level 47 on 11/18 at 3:04 UTC, taking 2986 seconds.
You this level 48 on 11/18 at 03:34 UTC, taking 1765 seconds.
You submit a ticket claiming you were almost 50 and reverted to 48 on 11/18 at 3:56 UTC.
The only thing I can think is maybe an addon displayed your level as different from what it was?
