Could there be an option for a guild roster to be moved for maybe a cheap/bundled cost? You could put a cap on how many could be moved from the guild roster or only allow toons that have logged in, within the last 30days to be opted into the migration. I would imagine that the players would have to log into each character and lock in if they would want to be moved with the guild so a guild leader can’t just be moving other player characters all willy nilly. It would also be assumed that if a player just didn’t lock in, it would be the same as denying the server transfer to begin with.

Just a suggestion so if a guild did want to migrate each individual player wouldn’t have to spend $$ if the guild leader was willing.

I’m sorry but the price of character services are ridiculous in general.

In FFXIV I can move the all of my characters from one server to another for 18 dollars- and that was before realm visit.

In WoW to move my alliance mains onto a decent server with raiding or even just to join a horse side raiding guild or play with my friends it’s anywhere from $30 to $55 dollars to play with my raiding guild if I can even find one. Back in the day the game was worth the cost but it hasn’t been for a long time.

Yes, I can confirm that we intend to offer bundles of realm-to-realm character transfers for a discounted total price in a future update to World of Warcraft and the in-game Shop. This new offering will allow players to select multiple characters that are on the same account and move them all to a destination realm in one purchase.

We don’t have the final sizes, pricing, and date these new bundles will become available just yet, but we’ll let you know all of that as soon as possible.

I don’t want this to come across as shooting the messenger. I have to say though I find this is kind of shameful. The WoW dev team through the course of a lackluster expansion has driven countless players away with poor game design choices. Decisions that people said were not great as far back as alpha but the team stubbornly stuck to their guns and now are going to remove the stuff anyway. It’s nice that they are changing it now, but why has it taken the better part of year?

So now that a ton of your players have left? You have empty servers and we now have to pay for “the solution”? Why should the players have to pay for the failed direction of the expansion. Blizzard has burnt a lot of good will lately for numerous reasons. You’d think they would be wanting to regain some of that goodwill. Offering a free mass transfer (Even if one time) would be better received and garner some good will.

Or better yet as @Blimpo suggested why can’t you merge some of the lower pop servers to high servers of the same type? On your end. Instead of asking people to pay for it?

Sure… No real reason to be on the Alliance if you want to do end game content though. History has shown time and time again that free transfers do nothing to help balance populations in this game.

should of been in game since day 1. the fact remains in the beginning (and later on) when realms/servers were full beyond capacity, free transfers were offered for 1 or more chars. I can confirm moving 6-8 chars at a time back then.

only reason it was never added was greed. the tech already existed.

Due to low pop on our server my guild moved to a more populated server and went horde. As a disabled vet on a pension I sit on the old server alone with the guild tag “alliance spies” till I can afford to xfer my tools. I have 3x60s (w/max renoun) and 3x55s and 4x50s. Id really like to move over my top 6 but at current prices (35+25 per) its impossible… I always get the 6 months sub. So I’d like to see this bulk xfer at a good price and maybe add some kind of service discount to ur 6 month subs too.
