Attempted to do a achievement run for “For the Alliance” tonight - 40 man raid. Our raid kept getting split with half of the raid on one layer, and the other half on another. Attempted several work arounds including porting into a dungeon to no avail. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Not recently, but last year when we did the Horde version of this, there was one guy who just couldn’t get into our layer in Darnassus. Tried dropping parting, relogging, getting summoned, etc., etc. and we just couldn’t get it, so he didn’t get the achievement.
I realized I misread it. For some reason I thought you were getting layered inside of an instance.
Yeah, that sucks.
I have heard that a fix to that is to move some from your raid group to the other raid group who are on the same layers so that way your layers are fully shared. That is what I was told. Who knows if it is actually true as I have yet to try it.
So if it doesn’t work, don’t blame me cuz you technically didn’t hear it from me, you heard it from someone who heard it from someone else from a source they are not super sure of. Thats why I am telling you that it MIGHT work, not saying that it WILL work.
