exactly this, raids just give far too little valor, the entire raid clear should = a weekly cap

That is intentional probably, they dont want us to stop doing heroics and raidlog, world feels more alive.
Comparing to original cata, we are getting twice as much valor anyway.
its annoying and just busy work. It’s not a good system and people will stop doing them anyways. Let us get valor the way we want to play the game.
If you want something you have to work for it.
Want off spec? - run dungeons or get everything in raid.
If it an actual off spec you don’t need full tier gear for that – it is exactly what it is, an off spec, used on occasion to fill in gaps.
Working as intended in Cata Classic and as it was in OG Cata.
I could have sworn it was more back in the day so you could valor cap just from riads but I can’t find actual numbers anywhere.
The design intent is such that it keeps heroic participation up, and thus queue times down. Basically, it’s for the health of the game.

It was 100 per boss in original cata
Except VP still have a very finite cap.
Maybe make more of the VP BoE so I can gear alts on my tank.
More valor means faster gearing, faster gearing means “finishing” the game faster and I doubt B would like that with subscription model.
Same goes for ideas with removing raid lockouts “lets farm raids as much as we want”, game would just die faster.
