I LOVE my SV Hunter. I love the playstyle, utility, mobility, etc. I feel like a SV Hunter in a BG camo, traps, etc. But yes, the spec needs some attention.
Make camo baseline for SV, give us back Caltrops trap (slow/bleed), and boost MB damage. No one should be taking Raptor over MB, and we are.
I love SV aswell, but i think those suggestions are not ok.
We need master’s call baseline and a flat buff on raptor strikle/mongoose bite.

Personally the only thing I see wrong with sv is the pet. I feel my damage is fine but the pet being the only resource builder and being insanely squishy is a huge disadvantage. If pets were fixed I almost guarantee youd see more survival hunters instantly.
SV weak? I’ve seen some just wrecking people
Well, before the xpac I noticed there weren’t any changes. Post xpac I’m not getting any changes. DPS logs being released weekly, SV poorly showing, no changes. I am staying SV regardless, I just hope for some improvements at some point.
I love feeling like a Swiss Army knife, a dull one, but one nonetheless.

I would actually say that with the legendary Survival Hunters have one of the best defensives in the game. They are overall pretty decent. But I would agree with you on buffing the pet due to the current pace of the game.
Even if pet DO NOT dies, SV still has lower damage than all other classes.
Pets are an issue but definitely not the solution for SV hunters.
I mean that lego isnt survival specific so any hunter spec can use it.
Survival can definitely do damage. It’s not insane like a ret or ww but its strong. The thing is people never see em so when they do they get caught with their pants down and die cause they have no idea how they work lmao.
Oh sure. But being able to remove (not dispell) every 15 seconds all DOTS is crazy utility. I really want to see two hunters fight a shadow / rot cleave.
convert survival to tanking spec, buff hunter pets for all.
Buff DH while you’re at it.
I’ll take a 50% The Hunt nerf in PvP to have kill pressure outside of it before deep dampening
The pet is literally all that’s holding survival back right now. Fix the pet issues and survival is instantly viable and strong. Sure theres some mechanical issues with azerite traits being gone for sv but the main issue is 100% the pet.
Puting like that looks like you are placing SV in a suposely third place and they are not, their damage is the weakest of the game.
Its definitely not weak damage it’s just not over tuned. I guess comparatively its weak but of course it will be seen as weak when you compare it to broken ret, fire mage and ww damage.
SV hunters are also the worst tanks by a large margin, in all content

Hunter, DH, and Lock all need buffs. Their self sustain is trash compared to every other class right now.

Lower damage than ShadowPriest.
Lower damage than Arms warrior.
Lower damage than WW monk.
Lower damage than Feral.
Lower damage than Balance.
Lower damage than Fire Mage.
Lower damage than Assassin and sub rogues.
Lower damage than all 3 lock specs.

It’s definitely not weak damage, I’d agree not insane burst like ret, but their damage creap up in a very scary way though. And when you factor in the Utility they have as a well they are very annoying in PvP.
Only melee spec that can switch from close range to mid range at the drop of a hat.
