Prot is rank 1 viable for a single player, and wins no tournaments. I’m beginning to think this prot hate of yours is a ruse for getting the devs off your back

My friend is a new player and he says arms warriors thus far is the easiest class.
The amount of warriors, first time gladiators and rank 1’s also seem to support this claim.

Warrior is the easiest and most brainless spec in game.
The people who ‘main’ it are just addicted to their new highest ratings. Automatically making them think they are good, when they are not. Often boosting their ego as much as their cr.
Goes the same for the people who play with one.
Amazing how many warriors got their first r1 in shadowlands lol

Your highest CR was arms, prot, rshaman… So does that make you a double dipper in the boosted department?
Warrior has a low skill floor, most people can pick it up and do ok with it. Warrior skill ceiling is pretty high though. You’re crazy if you think it’s not.
I’d to know what isn’t brain dead about prot. You push W and run at a healer. You don’t have to worry about being kicked or running OOM. You can 1 hit wog to full. You have an auto immune cheat death.
It’s a pity the forum mods play prot paladin and I’d get banned for saying what type of person your class was designed for.

I actually kind of used to give him props for playing off meta and what he liked, but he really doesn’t like to acknowledge prot paladin is broken and deflects to ret being “better,” which is debatable depending on the game play.
I’m pretty firmly in the “ban prot in PVP” camp these days. I have never heard a good argument in their favor

Prot paladin is like warrior, it’s easy to pick up and do well but hard to master
The argument is that people want “tanks” banned because they lose and get frustrated when they have no idea what they do.
Its easy to categorize prot paladin into “tanks” and the easy solution is ban tanks because I don’t understand how they work and lose. There’s several blatantly obvious weaknesses of prot paladin. It’s good for the game to have as many specs viable.

If they truly must keep prot viable, then they really need to do something about the queen legendary. It’s simply ridiculous. It also leads to a lot of boosting (ww booster plays with prot booster and they queen the WW on his go) and cheesing in general.
It’s just too forgiving and annoying.
Alright, I’ll bite. What is an example of something that is hard to Master as prot.

LOL ok that was savage but I’m actually curious what about prot is considered a challenge. I cant’t stand playing it, or the shame it brings my ancestors, so first hand knowledge isn’t likely unless I am accepting a terrible afterlife.
