The changes that went through are barely noticeable, no one in the pres pvp discord is excited right now . Maybe it’s better, but you have literally 1-2 viable comps and it feels bad.
As a melee healer with no damage reduction CDs that is countered by cyclone/diamond ice trap/shadowy duel you’re constantly eating cc without counterplay and your team is passively taking 25%+ more damage due to cleave and target access
Buffs that would make pres an average healer:
- Have communion not require line of sight (go through duel/smoke bomb/pillars) and avoid healing cycloned/diamond ice targets, so it won’t heal them but it won’t be completely wasted if the lowest health target or you are cycloned, and buff rewind substantially in arena only
- Build in some sort of passive cc/damage mitigation/dilation to account for the passive cc and extra dmg you/your team take. 10% lower cc duration on preservation, and a 3%, 2% stacking time dilation/damage reduction effect from reversion. So, if you have double reversion on a target they will take 4% less damage, and 6% of the damage they take gets converted into a dot over 8 seconds

Preservation healing is already really good and it does INSANE damage. The problem is communion isnt always a garunteed save.
If they could rework communion to be a garunteed save in every situation regardless of los or cyclone immunity the spec would feel way better.
Also think they should reduce the cooldown on their ranged kick by like 15 seconds
if you aren’t playing boomkin/rogue/pres with multiglad players it feels like dog. The hps is high but you are ping ponging someone’s health bar and one cc chain is game over. That is always happening unless your team is extremely coordinated playing classes that can shut down the other team from casting on you. You have to hold your “real heals” until someone is at like 40% to not waste overhealing and someone can literally 40-0 in 1 global in this meta so good luck with that. Time dil and rewind are garbage buttons to press compared to other healers.
I love playing evoker but ain’t no way pres is fun for anyone that isn’t playing under extremely specific circumstances.

luckily you have tools to deal with crowd control such as ranged 4 second interupt, knockback, knockup, nullyfying shroud immunity, deep breath immunity, pre rescueing people across the map as you eat the cc, and emerald communion.
The claim evoker only has 2 comps is a false one.

You don’t need to kick every cast. Just the very crucial ones. And 4 seconds is such a long time, especially if you can follow it up with more cc.
meanwhile you have 25 yard range and your team mates are playing 40 yards apart while also trying to stop cc when your team doesn’t kick for you. The warlock just 3x feared your shroud btw because your melee team mate is sitting back. I’m just saying it sucks to play in shuffle is all. If something isn’t fun/decent in shuffle I really won’t play it. So I’ll never get high rated in 3s on a spec like that.

Just because a healer isn’t non-viable doesn’t make it OK/fine.
