Buff, Not Nerf

So sick of people asking for nerfs instead of buffs.

The funny thing is they don’t realize is, when X gets nerfed, Y becomes the new fotm and then they want nerfs for that too.

It creates an ongoing cycle till damage is so undertuned that we run into metas like BfA where nothing dies and nearly every game goes into dampening. Who honestly wants to vs rot comps every game or Guard tower BfA destro locks (I still can’t believe destro somehow became even more broken than it was in Legion).

A better solution would be to fix the obviously broken mechanics such as intervene, and convoke while bringing classes that maybe falling behind up to speed with the “fotm” classes.

Also, primary stats are HUGE right now especially stamina, so people need to try to anticipate that as well.

TLDR; Buffing is better than nerfing, fix obviously broken abilities such as convoke or intervene. Nerfing creates an endless spiral of damage reduction till nothing dies.

Only if they don’t nerf healers.

Not really, because stamina will continue to increase and it’s more important than ever this expansion.

If healers and damage are nerfed, rot comps will be dominate and every game will be dampening. Stamina scales extremely hard this expansion.

If you actually think that Woggers is a good emote you have no grasp on the game

Going to assume you’re talking about me thinking WoG is fine, which I don’t but great assumption.

Otherwise, your comment is literal mumble.

Either way, you’ll see when stamina scales by next season or season after when damage and healing nerfs have been dealt out rather than buffing the underperforming classes.

Nerf triune ward.

This includes broken legendaries/conduits/items.

Legendaries should slighty benefit a class, like a perk not make or break it.

So, you’re saying that fire mage pulling 12k DPS in PvP is fine because Stamina will increase and that we should also buff Survival Hunters to also be capable of 12k DPS? You realize how ridiculous that sounds right? That’s not an engagement of skill, that’s hurr durr press shiny buttons I win in Global. You must be the only person I’ve heard of that likes that.

Again, fixing the obviously broken mechanics.

Cherry picking in a thread is fun, maybe try to read before bashing.

This is true. Balancing seems to be in a precarious position right now.

Or you you do what is sensible and doesn’t lead to positive feedback loops, by nerfing and buffing to constrain around some expected metric.

Then, your thread is no different from what everyone else is complaining about. Nobody is picking on Druid’s Thorns (which is absurdly strong considering only 1 melee spec is capable of purging), but rather we want the broken mechanics nerfed.

Nerf > Buff

:man_facepalming: Ugh just stop, at this point you’re trying to create issues out of nothing.

You’ve completely missed my point entirely.

I don’t think it’s worth even trying to have this discussion

You can be super logical but you’ll just have plenty of people that either lack the intelligence to understand what you’re saying or are being willfully ignorant because they’re too emotional

You can say something like obvious toxic mechanics need being looked at and people will think they have a “gotcha” statement by mentioning something that’s implied, but not explicitly mentioned

And you fail to realize what you’re asking for, Nerfing at this state at the game is better than buffing. You realize how FoTM classes are created right? It’s when one class gets nerfed and another gets buffed. That buffed class just got buffed x2 from initial dmg increase and adversary nerf.

Rather than ask for both, do one at a time.

It’s incredibly frustrating, would rather not have dampening games again but whatever. :man_shrugging:

It’s very fitting and telling just by some of the comments in here how little the inexperienced players understand the game as a whole.
