Buff Normal Raid Rewards

The Normal Raid should drop better gear (+3 or even +6 item levels, same champion track), or twice as much gear, or both!

Also, while we are here, the heroic dungeon should require 593 and the normal dungeon should drop 606.

Delves make the normal raids essentially useless.

I know, this is the problem to fix! Normal raid loot is too bad right now.

The loot is fine as it is.

The only thing I would argue is for normal dungeon loot to be explorer track. However from my understanding the reason why normal dungeons doesn’t drop gear on the explorer track is because they scale from 70-80.

The trinkets and unique effect items aren’t.

Another piece or two per boss would be ok though. I’ve yet to win anything on a loot roll yet this season. My “raid” gear came from the vault.

If they drop and you win the roll which you most of the time won’t. I would say all raid drops should be buffed but start with normal.

Raid with a guild, if you have a stable raiding group you will be getting gear funneled to you if at the start of the season your rolls have been terrible as other players have that gear or better.

Buffed how? Champion gear is what normal should drop. The loot shouldn’t be doubled. I think everyone could agree with bosses dropping 1 more piece of loot would be a good thing but not more than that.

Why not double the gear? M+ drops 2 pieces per dungeon, and they are hero track from only M+6 onwards. So 40% of the group gets a hero track every M+6 key. Vs normal raid where you get 20% of the group winning something on champion track. Normal raid rewards are seriously bad compared to both delves and M+.

M+ 6 is the old Dragonflight +16.

How much loot drop in Normal/Heroic raids depends on two factors.

  • Size of your group, as flex raids you could be 1 player shy of a break point for 1 extra piece of loot.
  • If any of the people in the raid are loot locked on that boss. This results in less loot dropping.

I’m aware, and clueless me was doing Dragonflight +26. Neither Dragonflight +16 or Current +6 are significantly harder than normal raid, I would set them about equal.

Yeah…that is intended. Normal is only difficulty 2 out of 4 while a M+6 is over halfway through the reward structure and a D+8 is at the top of it.

If you want better loot, do harder content

I hear you and I don’t think normal raid loot should be as good as heroic/mythic obviously, but maybe buff it 3-7 ilvls and double the drops so using the normal raid to gear is logical again.

I know people who can parse Orange in Heroic raids but struggle with the lowest M+ key.

Thats what the gear upgrade system is form. Means champion 1/8 goes to 2/8 which by the way the later bosses of the raid drop higher base ilvl.

I think you mean remove LFR, seeing as Normal is so easy according to the OP.

This is the same logic that displaces old M+2-M+8 players. Squishing the levels should have been removing every other level but instead they subtracted 10 and alienated a large portion of their playerbase.

Yea but the LFR people are angrier than OP and if they can afford a 20$ a month sub so they can afford a 5$ pipe bomb in my mailbox
