Buff Havoc. Make it feel powerful again. Make it feel like a durable class again. Give it another button or two to press too, add a little depth back into the class that went away at the end of Legion.
This “let’s make Havoc weak at single-target damage, squishier than a Rogue, and more simplified than ever” experiment isn’t working. Not sure why it was even started to begin with, but what’s done is done - and this iteration of Havoc needs to be done.
All I do now is log in do dailies then tank my rating playing with friends alts cause honestly why break my back when my 203 warrior does more and lives infinitely over my dh who I’ve been maining since legion release. This class has been gutted beyond belief when it already was pretty skinny. I’ve been singing this forever and I won’t stop. NOOB TEARS are what nerfed dh. I would still get stomped if I did something wrong at 2.3k last expac no matter what the opposing class was. The previous argument was “dh only dies in a stun and that means they’re op”. Well my man now I die in blur and darkness with no Cc on me to nothing other than a monk pressing tiger paw. GG boys they won.
Reality is that Blizzard doesn’t care. When my sub runs out this month, I don’t think I’ll be back. This type of development philosophy isn’t worthy of my money, so I’ll vote with my wallet and hope Ashes of Creation can pull off their vision. Bye WoW, it was good while it lasted.
i dont think flat damage across the board is needed , i think to increase the the duration of the haste buff you get after eye beam would probably be sufficient
Leave the haste buff duration, but increase the haste provided and duration of demonic window back to 8 secs. Also, a pass at our ST dmg abilities for numbers tuning is needed in my opinion.
Side note, would be cool to see first blood baseline, and have CT lego removed and made into a talent that replaces first blood. That would be a talented approach to ST dmg, and/or bake trail of ruin into first blood and put Chaos Theory in place of Trail of ruin. That would make third row of talents focused more on ST/AoE playstyles
Looks like I got into this class in the wrong expac.
It really is missing a lot of elements it feels like, and when I swap to my warrior, I start noticing the vast difference in overall viability.
with the announcement of 9.1, we’ll see if blizzard will even bother tuning classes. have a feeling havoc will just be garbage for most of the expansion.
If you’re only pulling 3900 dps in a +14 with 219 item level, the problem is you. You should easily be able to break 6k overall dps with that item level if you know what you’re doing.
Not to be that guy, but that’s on you. I average 5 to 6k on ST; burst aoe over 15k; and average high 6k to 7k overall in 17/18 m+ but yes the class needs a buff there’s no denying that.
A slight increase to ST damage, probably 10% on chaos strike and a lot of survivability back. Also our rotation could use another meaningful button or 2. (Essence break and First blood being baseline would be great! )
Yes could be all on me, my average was above 4k depending the situation. But I was very surprised on how easy was for them to get those number . Compare to all the gear as dh need to get.
Wonder how will Dh do if 9.1 comes and no change at all but only nerf to VDH. Will people quiet/reoll or still play a gimp class and getting decline for even a m+2?
WELL i dont really think they will do anything, they havent done nothing beside fixing the chaos strike bug and the 5% extra damage follow by a 3%(while every one got another 5%) i more concern about survival skills. blur should have better numbers, darkness i dont care if they remove it as long they improve blur.
It would be so easy to fix dh. I like darkness just need to tweak it so its a better defensive and buff Chaos strike, make first blood and demon blades baseline(also felblade imo). Lower meta’s cd to 2 mins or so even if the time in meta was shortened it would be better. Also make Master of the Glaive baseline this should be a no brainer as we are the only class that uses Glaives and no not talking about the leggos from illidan as those are considered swords.
It wouldn’t be hard to bring us up to better rankings. Also I had an idea so have vengence dh’s debuff they put on targets make the target do less damage. And let Havoc be the magic dmg increase buff.
It’s absolutely stupid that demon hunters are the only melee class in the game without a baseline snare and no way to remove snares/roots, every other class has both.
pvp talents for removing the debuffs, as i am aware not all clases can remove their debuff base line? do they?
rogue has a nice balance 100% evasion 2min cd
blur every min that is pure base chances and tat 20% absorption is nothing! the talent give you 10% more absorption, should give you more % of avoidance, and as i understand is pure physicals attacks, not de buffs.
darkness 3 min cd for a 20% chance ? and no one use it? remove darkness and up the % of dodge from blur
Shamans say hi. Shaman has slows. And they do not have a way to clear snares. I know as I have mained an Enhancement Shaman until recently when I decided I wanted to tank
