Right now it’s a 20 out of all damage classes

Buff feral!!!

No need to buff specs.

They should be working on more important things like fixing Ele t12 set bonuses, not redoing class balance of a game based off original cata that didnt have the changes you want.

Exactly. Feral players have ensured they will never get a buff ever again thanks to their behavior last expansion. They have no one to blame but themselves.

i don’t know, because of their behavior ,they got the buff

There was lots of feedback on feral, change was made

There was lots of feedback for firelands ptr, change was made.

I do start seeing lots of feral forums the same way it existed on wrath.

When you see a large representation of a class letting you know there’s clearly something wrong with the class (having to stare at energy in order to be able to press buttons) .

Like at this point, if they truly want to make bearweaving a thing they might as well add a Fire Bear Form .

I’m not sure if I included examples of possible fixes in this post, but if I did, I apologize in advance.
These are examples (im not asking for every single of them)

Increase Bleed Damage: Since Feral Druids rely heavily on bleed effects like Rake and Rip, increasing the damage of these abilities would significantly boost their overall DPS. Buffing bleed damage by 15% (for example) for Feral DPS in Cataclysm Classic can have several significant impacts:

Increased Overall Damage Output: Bleeds like Rake and Rip are core components of a Feral Druid’s damage rotation. A 15% increase in bleed damage directly boosts overall DPS, making Feral Druids more competitive in raids and dungeons.
Better Energy Management: With higher bleed damage, Feral Druids can rely more on their bleeds for sustained damage, allowing them to manage their energy more efficiently. This can reduce the need for frequent Shreds or other energy-intensive abilities.

Improved Burst Phases: During burst phases, such as when using Berserk, the increased bleed damage can significantly amplify the overall burst potential. This is especially useful in phases where maximizing damage output quickly is crucial.
Enhanced Multi-Target Damage: In situations with multiple targets, spreading bleeds across several enemies becomes more effective. The increased bleed damage ensures that each target takes substantial damage over time, improving overall multi-target DPS.
Synergy with Talents and Glyphs: Talents like Blood in the Water, which refreshes Rip when Ferocious Bite is used on low-health targets, become even more potent with increased bleed damage. Glyphs that extend the duration of bleeds also benefit, as the increased damage is applied over a longer period.

Increased Burst Damage: Enhancing CDs like Tiger’s Fury and Berserk can lead to higher burst damage during critical moments. This is particularly useful in both PvE and PvP scenarios where maximizing damage in a short window can be crucial.
Better Energy Management: Improved CDs can help with energy regeneration. For instance, Tiger’s Fury not only increases damage but also instantly restores energy, allowing for more frequent use of high-damage abilities.

Improve Energy Regeneration: Enhancing energy regeneration rates or reducing the energy cost of key abilities like Shred and Mangle could allow for more consistent and sustained damage output. Example: Bleeds that crit restore energy.
Buff Mastery: Mastery increases the damage of bleed effects. A direct buff to the Mastery stat would make Feral Druids’ bleeds even more potent.
Example Scenario:
Current Mastery Level: Suppose your current mastery level increases your Bleed damage by 30%.
Buffed Mastery Level: After a buff, your mastery level now increases Bleed damage by 40%.Impact on Damage:

Rake: This ability applies a Bleed effect that deals damage over time. With the buffed mastery, each tick of Rake will deal 10% more damage than before.

Rip: Similar to Rake, Rip’s Bleed effect will also benefit from the increased mastery, resulting in higher overall damage.

Ferocious Bite: This finisher deals more damage based on the number of combo points used and the remaining duration of Rip on the target. With higher mastery, the damage from Ferocious Bite will be significantly higher, especially when Rip is active.

Practical Example:
Before Buff: Rake deals 1000 damage per tick.
After Buff: Rake deals 1100 damage per tick (10% increase). In a typical rotation, these increases can add up quickly, leading to a substantial boost in overall DPS. This is particularly noticeable in longer fights where Bleed effects have more time to tick and accumulate damage. By focusing on mastery, Feral Druids can maximize their sustained damage output, making them more effective in both single-target and multi-target scenarios.

Enhance Cooldowns: Reducing the cooldowns of powerful abilities like Berserk or increasing their effectiveness could provide a substantial DPS boost during critical moments. Enhancing the cooldowns (CDs) can significantly boost the overall damage output. Here are a few key ways this can happen:

Synergy with Other Abilities: Enhanced CDs can create better synergy with other abilities and talents. For example, combining Berserk with Bloodtalons can amplify the damage of your finishing moves, leading to a more efficient and powerful rotation.

Cooldown Reduction Effects: If enhancements include cooldown reduction, they allow Feral Druids to use their powerful abilities more often, maintaining higher sustained damage over longer fights.
Adaptability in Different Scenarios: Enhanced CDs can make Feral Druids more adaptable in various encounters, whether it’s dealing with multiple adds in a raid or focusing down a single target in a dungeon.

Overall, these enhancements can make Feral Druids more competitive and versatile, improving their performance across different types of content.

I got to say the Primal Madness talent, where it gives you 20 energy only to take 20 energy away after the duration of either Tiger’s Fury or Berserk expires feels really bad. I know there are special cancel aura macros that you can use when you’re under 20 energy, but its an extra pain that shouldn’t be necessary.

I wouldn’t mind a reduction in cooldown of Berserk, or just make abilities to also be able to proc omen of clarity, but I doubt they will make any changes this time around.

These are just all lazy changes that doesnt address a way to buff the class without improving PVP drastically. Feral is already the best dps in 3s uncontested atm. Buffs to Feral in pve would have to come in the form of glyphs.

Some may have hated it, but I do think glyph of omen of clarity wasn’t a terrible addition if tuned properly. It helped with the really bad energy regen rate that necessitated bearweaving, and could certainly be an avenue to explore should a buff be mandatory, but it would need to be changed. Make FFF proc omen of clarity and nerf the cd of FFF would have been a much better way to do it. It makes it that sitting in cat form is optimal – and bearweaving is already barely optimal as is, even if I enjoy doing it regardless. Just depends if Blizzard Genuinely dislikes bearweaving as a thing. There’s been no comment on it and its not threat terrorism like it was in Naxx, so perhaps it will remain.

feral is way too good in pvp as it stands they dont need any damage buffs

Bringing back the OOC changes has zero impact on pvp.

PvP is a side note!!! simply because a spec is good in PVP doesnt mean it has to be trash in PvE. Fire mage is S tier in PvP and PvE. Unholy DK is also up there on both sides.

Waht do you mean barley optimal its better to go bear and deal damage instead of waiting for energy to regen.

They have already stated they didnt like bearweaving

Where did I say it should be bad because of pvp, thats a stupid justification as to why a class should be garbage, but it is a justifiable reason to not blanket buff the class in the most boring possible fashion.

Hopefully Blizzard has learned from their changes in Wrath, which were incredibly unpopular outside of the Ret and Feral player bases.

Making balance changes just isn’t worth the negatives that come in a game mode like Classic, Blizz just doesn’t have the resources. We saw this play out in Wrath, where they only made changes to two specs and bungled one of them.

Feral is the meta off tank spec already, mono-cat is pretty weak in Cata, but game balance is better than previous expacs. With Classic expacs you are going to go through swings and roundabouts, Feral is great in Cata PvP and will pump in MoP.

At the end of the day one spec is always going to be on the bottom, buffing that spec will just mean there’s another spec that is the worst.

As has been pointed out feral isn’t just at the bottom it’s doing significantly worse than pvp specs.

Feral is a “PvP spec.”

Lol Feral has a PvP Build but it is not a “PvP Spec” each spec for druid has a PvP build which includes Restro and Boomy!!!

Every spec of Rogues, DK’s, Hunters and every DPS spec of Warrior, Pally and shaman are beating feral dps!!! This is absurd!! People using the “Well its S tier in PvP argument” are stupid Fire mage is S tier in PvE and PvP DK’s are S tier in PvE and A-S Tier in PvE and PvP.

PvP is a side note of the game it doesnt matter!!!

There are no “PvP” specs in this game. Every spec can be played in PvP and PvE. Deep Freeze is an ability that stuns players and Blizzard made it do a tremendous amount of damage to mobs immune to stuns (bosses). Why would they do that if it was a “PvP” spec?
