Boiling the frog implies they slow dialed this up. I think going straight to 90 bucks was just throwing on sunglasses, jacking the temp to max and shouting “YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH”
I mean, it’s not like they slowly normalized that.

Yes but let’s be real, I’m not saying that they will implement mythic + lootbox by tomorrow, but as the overall “gaming” scene becomes more and more pay 2 win all over the place, it will maybe best in Blizzards hand to accomodate players with an easy way to gear and I swear it would become more popular than just raiding or doing Mythic+, so many casuals would buy their mythic gear just to go delve or farm transmog, the outrage would be real but the aging playerbase would get over it and Blizzard Microsoft would make banks.
They’ve been normalizing it since cata preorders.
Pay to win…what…exactly? lol
Just buy a token.
Gaming in general has an aging player base with money to burn. That’s why mobile gacha games are growing in popularity. Those games have simple mechanics compare to WoW. Throw in boosts and gear in the cash shop. I can see why they are more popular now.
That sounds exceptionally detrimental to one’s health. I hope the overtime is good.
This is nonsense. How does this Bronto help anyone win a PvP or PvE encounter?
I get a bit annoyed whenever I’ve seen this mount in game. That means some smoothbrain probably dropped real money on that thing. WHy do I go to money immediatly? Lets be real here, what percentage of the playerbase do you actually think has the gold to drop on tokens to pay for this thing? The easiest way is to drop 90 bucks.
You obviously enjoy buzz words you don’t truly understand. This game is not P2W. By its very definition:
Pay to win (P2W) is a gaming model where players can use real money to gain an advantage over other players. This can include: Buying powerful items, Unlocking exclusive content, Getting in-game currency that gives an edge in gameplay, and Paying to skip cooldown timers.
Everyone in this game has a hearthstone or 3, so you can use it to instantly travel to town where the AH exists. Mages have portals and can travel to every major city for free with no cool down. Engineers can use certain AHs that others cannot cause Steam Powered Auctioneers. Long Bois have been around since BFA and no one ever called them P2W even though you needed over $500 in tokens to buy him. You, and all these other people need to find a new horse to beat, and some new hyperbole… and buzzwords.
I know. I had watched a vid on YouTube to farm gold and it involved 11 hours of herb picking. No thanks
I was going to say… It’s been a thing since WoD.
I’ll complain about it when they actually do it
Throws $$$ at the screen… take my money
/s
Loot boxes are so 2017… pretty sure a European country made them illegal.
This has been the WoW community for a long time now…
(No frogs were harmed in the googling of this image)
That’s me and I’m comfy
Please don’t boil frogs
People always forget this or try to skirt around it, but wow has been pay to win ever since they added this item
It’s funny how zoomers have to frame everything in the world through some cliche catch phrase like “boiling a frog”.
