Bruto mount is boiling the frog. Blizz is slowly moving the line of how pay to win or pay for convenience wow is. Soon blizz will add loot boxes that might give mythic raid gear or start selling crests in the cash shop.

That’s the thing they don’t even need to, with the wowtoken you can pay for a carry to get mythic loot and get that mythic loot box.

They’re definitely slow-cooking something, but I’m not entirely sure it’s “pay to win”… or at least, I doubt that’s quite the case yet. Unfortunately, it’s probably not far behind.
But they are absolutely creaking that door open to even more ridiculously-expensive “micro” transactions. Not WoW or even Blizz, but didn’t someone put out a $500 skin in an online game? I forget which, but the door to conspicuous consumption in online games is opening wider and wider.
Though I expect the line to be drawn at loot boxes, we won’t be seeing those for a long while. There was some legal troubles because they started to look a LOT like gambling in something targeted at children. While I’m not entirely, loot boxes are a LOT less prolific (or at least a lot more low-key) compared to what they were a few years ago.
In any case, there’s more “upselling” going on. Convincing the customer to buy stuff that’s either more expensive or just in addition to what they came in looking for. Something that can, hypothetically, be stopped by a keen-eyed and discerning customer… but the old saying holds true:
There’s a sucker born every minute.

I did that for a whole year and on my first day off I stared at a wall for 8 hrs because I didnt know what to do with myself. I was so programmed to work, work, work. Make sure you find a way to enjoy your life man.

For sure, I just work seasonal so I have plenty of time off every year. I usually only work 4-6 months a year, but there are many hours in those months.
People think I am trolling but it is not just the Bruto but Blizz sold us three days of early access for $90 bucks too.

I had the ability for early access but didnt participate cuz I was sick of wow at that point.
Well you can buy I think also 3 mythic boes if you want more convenience. Sure it could be even more “convenient”.
How soon? Do you think it will happen this season?
