Ah, he must have been mistaken then.

2 Hpals is always gonna be kind of a rough comp for raid healing…

Yea, the last two weeks it looks like 7 healers. I agree two holy paladins rough in SWP. Ideally, one switches to Ret and they get another resto shaman.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. Last week we had our ret paladin go holy because a priest was absent and he did so this week as well. One of our shadow priests went holy as well. So this week we had me (holy paladin), two shaman, 2 priests (one of the shadow priests went holy for this), 1 resto druid, one ret paladin who respecc’d holy, and a prot paladin in healing gear.

Reading that back it sounds like a hot mess

I think we would do well with another resto druid, have the priest go back to shadow and the other paladin stay ret. Maybe the prot paladin respec to holy for just that one fight, it is only 100g round trip

You need a holy pally that can spam holy light nonstop without oom and time it so a holy light goes off each time stomp goes out. That’s how you kill Brutallus.

Druids go way above armor cap for Brutallus, and as a result the baseline damage increase during Stomp isn’t as significant as it is for Warriors/Paladins.

Just looking at our kill tonight, and my Druid took about 35% increased damage during Stomp compared to normal, while the Warrior tank took about 40% increased damage during Stomp compared to normal.

Paladins still spamming Flash of light after SSC/TK are hard carries “hey guys i didnt run out of mana” while the priests/Shamans hard carry your 2500 flash heal because bosses have been swinging for 9-11k since Azgalor.

Honestly a huge help for SWP for progressing guilds is to make sure you have an affliction lock and a Deep Disc Priest.

Pain Suppression 40% damage reduction on a 3 minute CD that lasts 8 seconds is an auto save on every boss from Kale to KJ, will this priest do far less healing then a Holy? yeah of course but 2 chain heals 2 Coh priest is more than enough raid healing needed paired with a few Resto hots will this priest increase your raid DPS heavily with the spirit/spell dmg buff and Power Infusion to locks? you bet

will this priest hard carry you through bad Kale Ports, Bad Brutallus Stomps, sloppy Felmyst Corrosions, Sacrolash Tanking? 100%

Running 1 Hpal, 1 RDruid, 1 Disc Priest, 2 Hpals and 2 Rshamans for 7 heals but specifically having pain sup is the easiest SWP prog healing comp you can do.

Coldstone, that is a good comp. Our Disc priest has been out for 2 weeks with a death in the family but when he is back we will be at 1 hpal, 1 disc, 2 holy priest, 2 resto shaman, 1 resto druid.

a raid is well…
a group effort, everyone needs to pull their own weight and do mechanics according
individual mistakes lead to wipes
and logs shows what and when people make these mistakes

Valkyrieborn above gave a in detail explanation on what is killing your raid

Looking at ours last night on my - barely geared prot paladin - I took 350 less dtps. Stomp only accounted for 3000 more than the druid over the span of 5 stomps each. Everything else I avoided more and just flat out took less damage from. My paladin is missing illy head, illy shield, t6 chest(wore ZA chest), using sub-optimal trinkets, t5 crafted boots/belt, and the crappy badge wrists. Druid is full t6 BiS going into the fight at armor cap with decent ancesteral healing up time.

  1. As the hpally you need to be in the Spriest group to support your holy light bombing.

  2. Mana pot as soon as you’ve spent 3k mana

  3. Watch your DBM timers when meteor slash hits 2s left on the cd start casting your holy light. It should land right after the slash hits and heal before he can hit again.

  4. Holy lights. That’s it. Holy. Lights. Do not heal yourself. That’s not your job. Do not heal burn victims. That’s not your job. Let burns die, and if you die then you know where to improve with the other healers.

  5. For the stomp we have our tank taunt right as the stomp goes out, when the stomp wears off the tank that was stomped taunts back. There’s no meteor slash in that short time.

  6. We 7 heal it comfortably with our DPS

My guild seems to have the healing part down pritty well.

We are just low on dps. We killed him sure, but we are just shy of hitting the enrage.

Was 3rd top dps without using any haste potions, but i wasnt even trying to parse, lol.

time to audit your dps logs

time to audit your dps logs
if they dont go 100% you wont make it with 7 heals
and if you make it mu’ru will say hello later on

You’re not using haste pots??

Then what are you using?

He just openly admits to griefing his raid lolol

wouldnt call it grief if they are learning mechanics but according to his post they have those down shy of enrage… so yeah
if they are not pumping then raid will just keep on wiping
wasting everyones time and effectively turning into actual grief

Mana potions is what i was using.

My guild isnt a parsing guild, which i like the more layed back attitude of my guild.

Although our brutalus kill was very close, so i will likely be using haste potions on that now until my guilds average dps goes up a bit from gear gains.

We were having more of an issue with keeping the tanks alove on our progression than we were with enrage timer. Now that enrage timer is the “issue” we will most likely be having i will be focusing more on fixing that. As a dps i couldnt make the tanks or healers play better. Was using mana pots until they figured it out.

swp is the only min max raid you will see until maybe yog-0
so yeah either min max or wait for the nerf

so why are you guys in sunwell? Seems like a waste of your time
