thats why you have 3 hunters, for mds on landings

Yes and no, when the dragon is doing the green beem ranged can still dps while the tank cant and thats a good 15ish sheconds of time each air phase. The MD helps, but its not a garentee.

raid comms and tiny tread exist, felmyst is perhaps the most “chill” boss since is not a race at all, so if your dps messing up pulling to much aggro before landing , just stop dps compltely

Yes, so again, watch your threat, lol and your fine.

Have you and the other hunters in your raid fixed their rotation issues?

How’s the rotation going? I know you said you had over 10 years experience as a hunter so you should catch on pretty quick how to do the rotation.

I know it’s phase 5 already but it’s never to late to learn the class you have 10+ years experience on.

If you need any help let me know.

Grats!!!

Something my cotank and I found out is if u taunt and eat the entire first stomp most attempts (rng dependant) and up working out with many more skipped stomp timings where it lands after slash 3 and much lower dtps.

I’ve given this info to quite a few struggling raids I know ppl in and it has a huge success rate in a few tries.

Check my logs for an indication of the dtps I’m on Whitemane.

fabled creatures …

I dont need help with the rotation. I did find out that our SV hunter wasnt using kill command because he didn’t know the proper macro to use kill command and was just using /cast kill command, which was forcing his pet in when he didnt want it to so he just stopped using it. That issue has been resolved and i am actually putting some effort into my rotation now. But im still not going to be aiming for parsing. I like playing more casually and thats part of why i am in the guild i am.

We did kill the twins the other night so we are progressing

Playing well and parsing are kind of the same.

You dont parse well because you dont play the hunter well yet.

Learn the rotation and you wont need to “want” to parse you just will.

If you are popping consumes which you should be in sunwell and playing well you will naturally parse, i mean youre going to parse either way, someone in your raid is logging the fights.

The mentality of “im not aiming to parse” is just a cop out, you are doing the things to parse except playing well. Does this mean you just wont play well because you dont want to parse? If so why even raid?

Group comp and such also matter for parsing, im never in the perfect group setup, i dont get multiple lusts most of the time, and important debuffs from my raid members dont usually have great uptime.

For example insect swarm (which my gear is built around as i am not running 9% hit but just over 6% as my goal) had about 62% uptime on our twins kill. That effects my parse as well.

Or when healers are not keeping my pet alive even with me using mend pet and then i have to revive it. (Tonking only does so much).

Don’t flash of light. Use Holy Light and consume correctly. Put 3-4 healers on tanks. Have someone call out when burn targets need big heals. Utilize battle Rezzes, soulstones, and ankhs. Make sure tanks are communicating taunts and big incoming spike damage. Time your holy lights to go off .01 seconds after stomp hits.

You’ll down the boss.

hows felmyst btw?
brutallus is a gearcheck after him is just a mechanics check
until mu’ru he is an everything check and super fun once you get the hang of it

it really depends on the class. If I want to parse really high on m’uru I need to grief the raid and focus on seeding instead of single target on the boss and sentinels.

On Kil’Jaeden I need to ignore orbs and get my guild to go for a stacking strat

Brutalus depends solely on kill time and if you have lust up after Kalec, felmyst is kinda down to luck and aggro and eredar twins is luck that you don’t get conflag

Parsing in sunwell to a certain extent, right now is pretty meaningless.

Sure all of that can effect a parse but you gotta start at learning how to play the hunter and doing the rotation.

I looked up your twins fight.

Phase 1 FF had a 92% uptime and phase 2 it was 84%.

You should be getting the feral in your group but it isnt the end of the world.

The other BM is no where near even doing the rotation right.

You used haste pots which is good, you should be getting double lust.

Dont use snake trap lol.

Used snake trap because i was stuck in melee for a sec from bad fire spots and had to stay in melee longer than i wanted.

The warlock group usually gets the double lust and my group is usuakky our warrior tank, a shaman, me anither bm hunter and our SV hunter.

Yes the group setup sucks but its how my raid wants it. /shrug

Ive already said they are disfunctional, lol.

And the extra lust is supposed to go to the warlocks…wheb the shaman doesnt accidently blow bit to early.

Did you really come back to this thread 4 days later to say this? Pretty douchey honestly

Thats just who he is. Even if i did need his help, and asked for it, he would just use it as a holier-than-thou “gotcha” moment.

He deserved every bit of the humble pie from all that trash he talked in the classic AV thread about how great of a hunter he is and how i have 0 experience as a hunter and he has been a hunter for 10+ years.

Dude cant even do the rotation right.

The funiest part is you are acting like doing the dps rotation is the only way to show you know your class, lol. Let me know when you solo world quests meant for groups vs elites that are immune to CC, 2 shot you/the pet, and cant be burst down purely because you know the class inside out.

I dont focus much on the dps rotation because thats not fun to me. Sologing the group quests in shadow moon valley was fun.

Having muscle memory to perform the dps rotation perfectly and being able to use the tools of the class to do stuff your not really supposed to are two very different types of skill.
