Depends on what part of history we are talking about. Go back far enough and everyone can claim to have a history of being discriminated against. What’s the color of skin of the men you are talking about? What is their economic background? Religion? I mean we need more information to answer that question.

For me, it isn’t about having my sister or daughter or granddaughter be offended, it’s about how acceptance of that type of humour teaches them it’s okay for them to be demeaned solely on the basis of their gender. And that is not a lesson I want woman in or out of my family to be taught.

Or it could teach them to know the difference between humor and facts. That a joke about a gender or any group you may or may not be a part of dose not define you as a person. But how you respond to said humor says a lot.

Actually, sexism is an ‘us’ problem because it is a societal problem.
I am not asking you or telling you to curtail your life. I am saying the title of a quest in a game should be changed because it debases women.
Although, now that I think about it, if you are engaging in behaviours that debase woman you should be curtailing your behaviour. (There, that is me telling you to curtail your life.)

I think its ok for anyone of any gender, race, sexuality, or religion to be offended in the name of humor. I think the second that we accept censorship for any reason we lose.
