I wish they’d bring them back even if they changed the color or something. I missed most of MOP due to real life stuff, so I didn’t even get to try.
No i dont but theyve already released their official statement saying no, end of story.
No it wasnt. I could progress just fine without torghast. And torghast had versions that were endless and cosmetic in rewards only.
Point being: it was “open world hard content everyone could do” just like they had all asked for. Then they turned around and asked for it to be nerfed because they couldn’t do it solo.
Delves will be the same
Are you aware that they have often gone back on decisions they have made because the community was not satisfied with what they had said? If the community puts enough pressure and they listen to the suggestion of using the recolors that have been around since MoP, they could change it. We have only had 2 days of PTR, it is not too late for them to use the recolors.
They might change their minds, or the devs themselves may change. To be continued…
I’m expecting Delves to be very much like Horrific Visions were, where you CAN get the highest rewards at the start, but most people won’t.
And then they’ll complain it’s “too hard” and “only for the 1%” and so on like people did for Horrific Visions at first.
ESPECIALLY after wowhead goes and does their usual thing with “so-and-so-crazygoodplalyer solos max rank Delve” on day 2. And then there will be howls of protest because Jimmy can’t do the same.
the SL mage tower was definitely harder than its legion counterpart - then it wasnt properly tuned for DF and it is now a trivial experience.
the raid head enchant functions in there - classes have so much more utility with the new talent trees - i believe season 3 tier sets also function in there as well.
the issue is that if blizzard brings something back and keeps it in the game, it will eventually become trivial due to changes in the game and blizzard has shown they aren’t capable or willing to re-tune it as needed to keep it as challenging as it was before.
My only issue with visions was constantly having to farm the currency for the privilege to run them. I hated that. Just let me do the damn content without having to grind needless crap for it.
The concept of removing content from a game is something which I will never find meaningful.
I hate that we can’t get everything we want. It’s lame.
Time sensitive means time sensitive. Blizzard has repeatedly said time sensitive stuff and challenge mode content is not coming back. Enough is enough.
They’ve also broken this promise multiple times with Twitch, BMAH, Trading Post, Blizzard Store, Newer remodels, Same stat options (For Heirlooms), etc. etc.
They’re not withholding these things for the people who originally earned them and anyone who honestly believes that really should fact check themselves and how uncaring Blizzard is towards exclusive rewards staying exclusive. There is a reason why so much content isn’t exclusive anymore, and at worst it becomes a 1% drop in the future (Which is still stupid).
Also: It’s MoP gear. It’s already outdated visually compared to sets we got in Legion, let alone now. And they’ve started to let their artists finally use AI tools to hasten the boring parts of armor work (Like shrink-wrapping models over other models). Which will lead to even more complex and unique sets that will blow the pants off of old WoW armor.
Disagree.
Right, like how they said Classic was never going to happen and “You think you want it, but you don’t”?
I honestly dislike this argument because it’s not the same thing in any capacity. Illegally using software you pirated to provide illegal services using property not your own, and actively losing out on monetary gain as a result of that illegal activity, turning around, and using it for your own gains for massive income increases is not the same as people complaining about challenge modes and wanting them back.
It’s not. In any regard. Please stop using classic as an excuse for something like this, it isn’t comparable. It’s two different situations.
It is an example of them changing their mind based on player feedback, though
If player feedback is “We’re tired of FOMO items being made unavailable for a decade”, and continues to be that, then they can act on feedback. But acting like its a done conversation when we had this exact situation with Classic isn’t getting you anywhere
It’s Blizzard going back on their word, it’s a fine comparison.
Something that was available for an entire expansion isn’t FOMO.
No, it wasn’t. It was Blizzard realizing they would make massive money, and stop illegal pirating of their software at the same time. Are you going to illegally pirate their software for challenge modes? No. Not the same thing.
If it’s no longer obtainable, it is. That’s the definition of it…
And yet… Spirit of Competition went on the trading post last year!
Just because it’s inconvenient to your stance doesn’t make it any less true. It’s a scenario of Blizzard going back on their word.
