Bring Yrel back as a villain Blizz

And I’m going to follow her just so you know this.

Our Queen will save us all.

Yes, so I can mount her head next to that of Sylvanas and her boy toy.

It would be hard to bring her back since she technically doesn’t exist.

Those time-traveling dragons can bring her back no problem.

She’s basically dead at this point.

  1. The time differential between Prime Azeroth and AU Draenor is wildly out of control, on the “a minute in Prime is months on Draenor,” scale so at the least she is getting really old really fast.

  2. At the time when we took the Mag’har back to Prime, Blizzard said the AU Draenor dimension was already collapsing.

While I’m sure the inifinte trollflight would happily do it just to be s***lords, I’ve had quite enough with time travelling shenanigans thank you very much.

Draenei are basically immortal, so the time difference wouldn’t do much. The whole “universe going away” thing, though… That might do the trick.

I really hope they never revisit that story though. It was so incredibly stupid seeing Yrel turned evil as a cheap gimmick when her entire Draenor arc was about a slave becoming a pure and noble paladin.

Is that any way to speak of the dev team?

Really, there’s no surer sign of a series jumping the shark when they pull out time travel and alternate dimensions.

It’d be pretty nonsensical to create a new villain in the army of the light, and then just ignore their existance entirely to make up brand new villains out of nowhere for no reason.

Then again, that’s pretty much what Shadowlands is doing so who knows.

Sure, we have the lich king, the void lords, the army of the light, and the horde (maybe) to worry about, as well as the remnants of the legion… but did you know there’s more bad guys in the sky that can only be reached by breaking the lich king’s hat in half!?

It was the “Darkest Timeline with Black Goatee” joke, but they were serious.

At this point I’m half expecting the entire WoW story to wind up as the dream of a little kid looking into a snow globe.

I’d like to see her come back. I didn’t expect them to turn Draenor in that direction so it’d be interesting to see what happened, especially with Garrosh and female Thrall.

It’s less that she’s turned evil then it is that the rest of us simply aren’t pure enough in the eyes of the Naaru.

Why?

Making Yrel a villain is ridiculous and pointless. Killing orcs is not wrong. Just let her be yet another character who hates the other faction.

Don’t forget Tyrande inevitably doing something stupid.

She had a policy of Convert or Die.

That’s pretty villainous.

I’d consider letting her bathe me in the Light.

That happens when the actual gods that live there tell you that indeed, their lack of faith was destroying the planet. It didn’t came out of nowhere.

It was “muh relativism, what’s good is actually bad” nonsense. They Jake Skywalkered Yrel.

The actual gods that live on Draenor are the Elemental spirits, which have nothing to do with the Light. Naaru aren’t gods.

It doesn’t change the fact, also, that she didn’t hate “the other faction,” she was fine with Orcs and Ogres. She hated people who didn’t believe what she wanted them to.

It was a hamhanded story about how the Light isn’t pure and meddling with time travel has unintended consequences, which everyone above the age of thirteen already knew from cartoon shows.
