Bring Your Hero up to Speed with the Enhanced Level 70 Boost

They once gave us profession boosts and Garrisons in the boost. No one cared back then. Why does a partial Renown unlock for useless cosmetics that you still have to acquire currencies to purchase matter whatsoever?

Those types of boosts are exactly why you and I are even talking about this right now. It wasn’t okay then and it isn’t okay now.

Profession boosts still would have been useful had they revamped it for the boost like people asked. Garrison unlocks were also useful as people still use it.

Not to mention, nothing new was added to the boosts after those were removed.

So they add things then remove them, meaning it’s not snowballing.

But it’s easier to just be dismissive because I debunked your tin foil theory. You do you.

No one was screaming about it back then. Only a few are screaming about it right now.

It’s fine. Boosts are too darn expensive to not have some incentive to waste all that money.

Omfg, you get a like for a blast from the past because I had totally forgotten about that but man was that fabulous.

Look, I’m not gonna waste my time on this because it’s already done. People will keep paying for it and Blizzard will take it as a sign to keep pushing for more because they have so many little paypigs.

Profession boosts back then were closer to pay to win than having some cosmetics unlocked that you still need to purchase.

I just don’t get it.

Except it’s never snowballed before.

Shop cosmetics are cycled in and out to keep the shop small. No new services were added, one was removed and put in game. The boost had more to it in the past and then it was removed with nothing added until now, which is less than what we once had before. All of it can be purchased with in game gold.

You’re right. Until they add something like early access we shouldn’t be alarmed

$60 is kinda rich.

I knew this all seemed very familiar to me lol

That isn’t part of the boost.

It’s almost like you missed the point completely

Do I even want it though? In my case I probably won’t buy it until the last moment, so I won’t get any of the rep benefits. The good thing is I don’t see any useful benefits in those benefits so it doesn’t affect me in the least. Dragon customization, what even is that?

It’s almost like your point was refuted.

I know DF’s profession system is at best controversial due to difficulty in leveling with crafting orders, but it’s still the same design as what they previously introduced where each expansion’s profession is in its own space which is what has invalidated the need to offer profession boosts because you can immediately jump into the current expansion’s design whereas previously you boosted during MoP or WoD and it meant grinding old world content for 5ever just so you could progress in the current expansion.

It’s an extremely niche bonus; not exactly a strong selling point for the bulk of players.

I think what they actually did was remove niche/outdated perks and created a new more relevant template to use going forward. And my prediction is next expansion they will start selling boosts at the end of each patch that catch you up to the current patch with gear and whatever rep/renown/system it may have so that anyone can get into the end-game immediately.

Good job skipping over what I said once again.

All I hear here is, “I don’t use it and want to make up numbers so that I can dismiss it.”

And yet this is the first time since Legion pre-order that we’ve seen anything but the base boost.

So the exact same thing we have now. Meaning not snowballing.

Got it.

How so? You said it wouldn’t snowball. I pointed to an example of how buy these boosts in the past has led to things like early access being sold. Or do you just defend every little thing that Blizzard does?

Haha I am not even 20 renown with some things. I could use this  (I won’t, but I could)
