Right because no company ever has saw that people buy things means it’s okay to start pushing the boundaries on other things. That’s never happened in the video game industry ever. Keep your head in that sand.
Last I knew boosts sold were only to get you into the current expansion from a leveling perspective. IE: Boost to 60 so you can go level in DF, not boost to 70 so you can immediately do DF end-game and then dynamically update so that the most recent boost benefited you for end-game.
If they changed that from last time I knew then it means it already snowballed.

Then by that logic, there is no reason NOT to allow people to just credit card swipe directly from the Blizzard store, and obtain their Mythic Raid appearances.
Not the gameplay bonus, just the Mog. Because it doesn’t actually effect gameplay that way. It’s just cosmetic.

I kind of figured I’ve seen them around the forums from time to time and they’re pretty unbearable, with some of the worst takes.
By this logic, there is NO reason that anyone starting out today should not just automatically have ALL of the transmog appearances of EVERY color from every raid.
Let alone why they shouldn’t get the transmog appearances and mounts from Elite PvP, the rewards are just cosmetic, they’re not player power, so who cares?

Yes, you are. You’re winning the cosmetic rewards, for your transmogs or the mount you ride on.
One of the most sought after things all expansion has been the various Dragon Scale colors, since we HAD to use the new dragons all Xpac.
Every color BESIDES the ones for the Racing Events and the Silver Scales. Were locked behind like 19 or 22 Renown Level for all of the base factions.
Not to mention EVERY faction has Manuscript unlocks locked behind them. Which a LOT of people want to get X option for thier Dragons.
Imagine, you worked or farmed One rep and finally managed to get to the point where you UNLOCKED the cosmetic you wanted. Then you went to apply it, only to see that now everyone is just Credit Card swiping to WIN what you worked and strived toward all expansion long.
Like I’ve played the whole time, and I’m still not Maxed on Tuskar or Loam. Instead I ground out the other factions and things.
Are you implying that say a Mythic Raider shouldn’t get to show off their Mog drops, as a special color for having achieved Mythic difficulty?
Or that a Mythic Mount Drop shouldn’t happen because it’s just cosmetic.
The point is, it’s a reward that people have to earn and work for. But now it’s just being given away for IRL money.
Assuming they do this NEXT xpac too, that means there really isn’t ANY point to play the game at ALL outside of M+ to gear for Raid, do the Raid, then Quit for 6 months until the NEXT raid comes out.
Because that Side Content Rep farm will just be freely given when the NEXT Rep Boost thing happens.
I wish we could have an option to choose a boost or extra tenders with heroic and epic packs. I don’t like going backwards and opening previous expansions with level 70 boosts, reason I prefer leveling over boosting.
They’re cosmetics. I don’t even care enough to grind most of them out myself, let alone if someone spends real $ on them.
Stuff you get from content not everyone can do is different than stuff you get from wqs.
I mean, if you don’t play the game because it’s fun and you’d rather wait till you can buy a boost before the next expansion launch, that’s up to you

Not everyone can do Rep Grinds, as they don’t all have the time, or the patience for it. It’s really not that different from a Mythic raid. Because all you have to do for that, is Spam M+ get super geared, then join a Raid Pug, and you’ve got it.
You just have to actually put in the work for what it is you want.
Literally every pre-order is when we got the new boost to max level. This isn’t new at all.
Deargodinheaven I just can’t with this nonsense. 
Nothing snowballed. Boosts were just boosts. Then they were professions and Garrisons. Then they were just boosts. Now they’re boosts with renown. Once they change renown again, it’ll probably go back to just boosts. And boosts for new pre-orders will probably do the same thing they’ve always done.
I’m just going to reiterate this one more time:
There is no “snowballing” here, just your tin foil conspiracy.

You aren’t skipping reps. You’re a little more than halfway through and you get nothing handed to you for free from them.

Did you get this upset when there was profession boosts, skipping zones and gold to get the Garrison attached to the boost, too?
While boosts aren’t flat-out skipping them, I do agree it’s strange that you are given a significant amount (well more than half) of rep. Not really sure how I feel about it considering how painful it was to grind some of these reps. Totally not talking about Niffen rep at all of course. Nope no sir.
And I said my prediction was every patch would start selling catch-up boosts.
Getting rewards that someone had to, at some point, actually play well to earn are a different story. Doing a world quest or a community feast are so utterly trivial that it simply does not matter at all.
Plus, as another commenter as rightly pointed out, getting the rep is but one of the requirements to get anything. You also need to get the currencies to buy the rewards. Moreover, this only unlocks a portion of the upgrades–you don’t get max renown with anyone.
All I am saying is: if reputation enhancements are on the table at all - good or bad - maybe we can get an account wide reputation system.
