I would love to see some sort of variation or spin-off of the WoW trading card game for classic. I would probably pay $5-10 for a chance at a Spectral Tiger, Rocket mount, Amani Dragonhawk, etc.
And this is where they’ll go with this - they won’t bring another TCG to LK; they’ll just sell the mounts in the shop.
Not sure about that, the whole appeal of those mounts was that they look cool and are very rare to see.
Blizzard has a tendency of taking the easy way out of things - why would they create a new TCG for the chance of making money off it?
Because the chances of the same person spending the $5 or $10 multiple times is real. Rather than just a one off $20 purchase, the same person could spend $100 and not get the mount but still be trying. A virtual TCG if you will, no need for physical cards.
Not today, it’s not. Back in original LK, it was. Back then, the investments paid off; we had up to 12 million players - today, we have a fraction of that.
Without physical cards, the TCG is garbage - it doesn’t exist. You’re basically paying for nothing but a chance at receiving a mount - the very same thing they were criticized so heavily on with Diablo Immortal.
Are the tcg like a gambling box of sum sort? If so a lot of games can’t do that in today’s gaming due to the amount of players being under 18.
TCG only encourages scalpers and resellers. I guess you didn’t see the Geforce RTX market. They will do the same to the TCG market.
The only thing Activision Blizzard’s corporate shareholders will see is:
I would probably pay $5-10
Please stop asking for Blizzard to slap more microtransactions into the game. That’s what Retail is for.

First time I agree with you on something.
