blizzard has stated that CM sets arent coming back, expressly in a blue post yesterday.
no CM sets sorry… MrGM has also datamined the rewards for class sets in MOP remix and they are recolors of the trading post sets.

I can’t wait for Mop Classic because the people beating the “we should merge classic and retail achievement/mog/pets” etc is going to become deafening. I very much hope they hold their ground on that though. A scarab lord from Vanilla and a scarab lord because someone is a streamer is very different.

not sure what youre trying to say? Even made a new rogue, put the set on, on the same server my monks on. LOL?
I see that both have small particles that protrude from the body, and within the game in the collections I do not see that the MoP CM ones have the trace that you say, even if what you say were true, even though ingame contradicts itself, it is still not what Same as Legion Class Hall, the transmogs we get here are not simple recolors of the CM, they lack many details of the CM ones beyond removing effects, it is not the same at all, if they were the same but without effects I would agree, but is not the case.

100% agree, my first thought hearing the announcement was, “This is going to be so fun gearing up alts and doing CMs.” My realm was dead in MoP and I never got to experience them.
I enjoyed the tower in legion, and I’m glad other people can earn those appearances. I don’t care about new appearances, but those CM sets mean something to me as a primarily classic player. I was literally going to resub once the MoP event came out. Hearing there isn’t even a recolor for the event I won’t bother with it at all.

Most of the recolors from Legion are too ugly.
I had hoped they would reintroduce the kind of stuff people actually wanted but wasn’t holding my breath. Oh well, too bad.
I’m sure the event is still gonna be fun, and some of the rewards still look nice.
I still feel releasing the recolors (not the Orderhall recolors) of the CM set is a good compromise. The color variants are so different amongst each other that one could tell when someone earned the CM set, prestige being the main argument here.

You missed out on the last few server openings (During TBC, even) when the gate was opened pretty much immediately and tons of people got it

A scarab lord from 2007 is definitely a little different from a Scarab lord from 2021. “Tonnes” of people is probably pushing is (definitely pushing it). It still required a tremendous amount of effort on a dead server with no economy or players to get.
They are extremely different from being a streamer who begs for donations.
There are more sets than just raid sets. Including the very Challenge mode sets which are the subject of this post.

No, they prepared everything on the server they used to be on, transferred to the newly opened server, and slammed the gate open on day 1 with everything ready before anyone who legit rolled on the server was able to hit 60
CM sets are the only sets that has a reactive effect when a character performs an attack or emote. I wish they used the reactive armor effects more often.
