Bring back TITANFORGING

The raid isnt even out yet and your missing the the point on purpose everyone by the end of the raid tier will be able to upgrade their gear to the highest item level like they always have been able too.

If you are being honest you would admit this or you don’t know.

NEVER IN FFXIV HISTORY HAS THERE BEEN an item level gap between casual players and elite raiders ever like there is in WoW now. And that is part of the problem.

Not the same game. Titan Forging is not coming back. Get over it.

Hourly reminder that Titanforging did nothing wrong. Everyboday loves feeling overpowdered in all forms of content which Titanforged Loot provides.

The lottery is nothing but at an additional tax on the stupid and the sooner people realise this, the better for them. Less lottery is superior.

idc what other people have I don’t want titan forging back because I don’t want bis trinkets to be from a world quest that I have to farm for the 0,5% change that it forges into something useful. The only way forging coming back is ok is if there is also a deterministic way to get the loot and the forge is just a shortcut to get there

thats so wildly inaccurate it has to be sarcasm

Titan forging on casual content that can make world quests and such drop, rarely, items of up to a cap of, lets say… Mythic 10 gear.

RATIONALE
1 - This does not affect the holy 1%
2 - It wouldn’t really ruin anything for anyone if a random casual player can get the equivalent of 2 or 3 Mythic 10 pieces, especially when they can just Pay-To-Win Mythic Raid Gear.
3 - The game currently has very few (if any) rewards for casual players at endgame. This would actually offer them a gear reward and (gasp!) character advancement.
4 - “Hardcore” players, whatever your (dear reader) personal definition of that is, still have better options (M15, actual raiding) that is better and wouldn’t have to dirty your pristine hands with “casual content”

TITANFORGING isn’t a lottery by the definition that was quoted that you referenced.

Lottery
a means of raising money by selling numbered tickets and giving prizes to the holders of numbers drawn at random.

“the introduction of a national lottery”

Boosting is closer to the definition because your paying for someone to clear a dungeon with a chance to get an item you desire from the dungeon or the weekly vault.

Technically anything including life is a lottery by the less common definition.

Lottery

  • a process or thing whose success or outcome is governed by chance.

“the lottery of life”

Then quote him and not me xD

You can split hairs all you want, titanforging is more rng upon rng and this is a thing we already have enough of in the game. It would devalue the content for every player and would be one of the worst things Blizzard could reintroduce.

I don’t think it would . I prefer TITANFORGING come back.

Daily reminder that Titangorging did nothing wrong. If you can be happy about getting an unexpected Christmas present for Christmas, you can be happy about getting an unexpected piece of Titanforged gear.
Everyone in azeroth loves having a high Ilvl party member to do content with sooner rather than later, especially tanks and healers and maybe dps.

Titanforging is like playing the lottery and its already a lottery hoping you’ll get a piece of loot you need to drop. It’s like putting RNG in your RNG to you can deal with RNG while you RNG.

Daily reminder that if you can be happy about getting an unexpected Christmas present for Christmas, you can be happy about getting and unexpected Titanforged Loot drop for free without hurting anyone unless they were already weak-willed to begin with

there was nothing wrong with titanforging. the player who couldn’t stop himself from grinding for titanforge needs reality check as well as the people that used to run maw for ap. the op is kind of right it sure helped keep all content relevant i see no problem with it. you need no boosters when everyone is running normal heroic and mythic. make normal raids great again.

There were tons of things wrong with titanforging. One of the biggest being an lfr item becoming equal to or better than its mythic counterpart because “hur dur lucky”.

If you want all content to always be relevant then ask for the removal of catch up systems that cause old content to become irrelevant. Castle Nathria wouldn’t be irrelevant if Korthia gear/boa tokens hadn’t been introduced and WQ item levels hadn’t been increased. People would be gearing up in CN to move onto SoD, and then move on to SotFO in 9.2.

You don’t “need” boosters now either. Bringing back WF/TF isn’t going to make them disappear either.

Normal raids are already fine. My mythic raiding guild clears normal for 1 month or more when a new raid is released, especially if there is some currency or specific item to farm for.

Blaming the players only leads back around to blaming the developers. They don’t try to mitigate these negative urges that lead to horrendous player patterns. Blizz do everything in their power to exploit them. They make AOTC and other similar things really low hanging fruit to offer carries for on purpose, to the point where they are virtually meaningless. All you have to do to get things in WoW is be inside the instance when a particular event happens. It is the most nonsensical and exploitative award system possible.

I think most Blizz employees have realized this and have come to resent it. They are experimenting heavily with adding actual checks to if you have some idea how to play the game, so that they can eventually have a meaningful game. The problem is that they let this fire rage so long that 80% of their community is either carriers or carryees, and things like the mage tower asking people to practice their chars have scared the carriers and enraged the carryees. Blizz got themselves in a pickle trying to be bad vibe vampires for too long.

Trading would be possible if people wasn’t so toxic. During the time frame which trading was possible people was pressured to give their loot to someone else. Making it no better then the masterloot system. Trade should only be available to those who want to trade, and due to people being able to kick those who don’t trade ect. Trading had to go away. You can’t depend on a toxic community to not be toxic. So you have to program the chance to be toxic out.

500 post so yes bring back Titanforging!!!

Do people remember the same influencers that claimed how “scarce” loot is amazing design and we ended up doing tons and tons of m+ runs to gain nothing? The people that wanna gatekeep everything and DISLIKE the fact LFR exists? People that hide behind alts all day in general discussion?
I liked titanforging because i didnt had to do mythic raiding content to get even better gear, specially in legion i could be a happy normal/heroic pugger and always thrive for progression whitin these mechs
Call it as you will, but it gave people a reason to keep on the treadmill.

Hell the only bad thing about titanforging is the fact its linked to RNG, wasnt for that it would pretty amazing.
Guess what was still better doing stuff and hoping for a TF than doing 4000 runs for 35 anima,

The less people get dependent on cutting edge content, the better.

Couldn’t agree more Nowk, it’s a video game end of the day you should be able to play the content you enjoy and feel like your time in the game mattered. Everytime a person logs in and feels like what they did that day had no effect on their character, that person becomes one day closer to unsubbing.
