Those qualities don’t matter when it comes down to it. Cosmetic rewards are cosmetic rewards and they all serve the same purpose, to make your character stand out.

Really confusing that anyone thinks this is trolling. If asking for MT to come back isn’t trolling then how is this? If you have some personal feelies attached to weapon appearances from 5 years ago but not to a 16-yr-old title, that’s on you. Doesn’t make it trolling.
That’s probably why if they redid it they would associate it with doing daily quests and if you’re a really good boy and do them every day for two weeks you get the mount.
There is no way in hell they would bring back the actual grind. People would go absolutely nuts having to farm 42000 carapace fragments when the best spawn is full of elites you can barely solo as a melee class and they dropped 3-4 at best.
Precisely. They don’t seem to realize the hypocrisy of asking for limited time features to be made available again while simultaneously railing against the return of other features that they do not find personally appealing.
Why not? Because all cosmetics are equal? Obviously they aren’t. You’re just circling back around to your same invalid logic again.

And thats precisely why I dont believe it should be brought back. Either return it as it was, or not at all. They are returning the Mage Tower but they aren’t saying, just step through the door and you get the appearance. You still have to participate in exactly the same way you did back in Legion.
Return it the same as it was for the vast majority of people that completed it?
So you want them to re-enable the quests at a trivial level, allowing anyone to solo them, then create a fresh server so all these people can rush over and Bang the Gong at their earliest opportunity?
why on earth would they bring those back? AQ40 is soooo old…move on or go play classic wow and get it there lol
I’m actually staggered at the number of people who took this bait thread. I read the OP and thought “yeah, nobody will bite” and I’m now at a loss for words.

Seeing as the 20th Anniversary event is out why do we not have a similar event like the Molten Core 40 man made a lot harder @ level 100 for I think the 10 year anniversary. Why not have an AQ40 event where you cant earn the Scarab Lord title but can earn a Reskinned model of the Mount or the Original mount itself from the last boss C’thun. Granted it would not be a 100% drop and would have LFR and Regular Difficulties attached to it but nothing.
Do blizzard even think about things such as this that would evoke some long needed Nostalgia. They have an event this year for the 20th anniversary which is a Mount off similar to what that washed up streamer does and always the 15th Mount for you to maybe have in your collection is the Black Qiraji Battle Tank mount which honestly next to no one playing today has since it was hard enough getting it back in the day due to Blizzard poorly executing that Entire Scarab Lord /AQ20/40 event.
I Honestly don’tcare if people don’t want it back in the game but you lot are a very small minority. I am saying bring it back like I suggested above iwhich is a good way for people to actually go and earn it and not just do the raid once on LFR and get it 1st kill. Since this event last almost 2 and a half months you could make its Drop rate 1% and that would be enough to satisfy a lot of people. But in true Blizzard form they have once again Failed at there own expense. Adding an AH Mount for a decent price which I don’t mind since it does not fully Negate the Original AH mount from BFA. But they did add a crap Bear mount that functions as an alternative to the Yak mount for Vendoring/Transmogrification purposes which is also a store mount. But that one I do not reccomend purchasing unless you got money/gold to burn and don’t mind having another pointless mount in your collection.
Any thoughts on this I’d like to hear positive or negatives.

I’ve seen so many threads and made so many threads like these, and will always stand by the following;
FOMO shouldn’t exist in WoW, there shouldn’t be any items that are gone forever after a limited time. Especially because in a game like this that is so interwoven with people’s lives, there will always be times where LIFE™️ happens, and might prevent you from getting a THING™️.
A personal example:
- I unlocked the Challenge Mode sets on my Monk, and a couple other classes. Wanted to do more, but my studies got in the way. By the time my studies were finally out of the way, I’d broken my arm. WoW was borderline impossible to play with one arm and frankly even trying made me more upset. No group would take me. wamp wamp. That’s life.
Moral of the story/point of this reply? I think everything should be obtainable somehow. Most of which, if coveted, should be behind some form of skill gate. The more coveted Blizzard want it to be, the more of a hellish grind it should be to unlock.
I think a really good example of this was how they brought back the Naxxramas/Tier 3 sets. Those sets are such a slog to grind to get, and also require a lot of lucky and gold. But they are obtainable. Even so, you hardly see them around these days, almost like as if the accessibility didn’t inherently ruin the scarcity.
As for Elite PvP sets, I’ve always been of the opinion that those should just be unlocked upon reaching 1800 similarly to the Vicious Saddle/Mounts. I will straight up skip PvP for an entire season or sometimes an entire expansion if the Elite sets are constantly not to my liking. But if I could just get an Elite Set equivolent of the Vicious Saddle, and just choose which Elite set I’d like to get? God I’d be playing every season without failure. That system alone would also mean every player is always limited to 1 set per season, so it means you can never “catch up” and get them all, preserving scarcity in that regard too.
Just my thoughts. Life happens, these things shouldn’t be gone forever. They should just be there, waiting, for the most dedicated players to eventually find their ways to unlocking.
