get 1 token per season for an old elite set at 2k.
This fills the 1800-2100 gap and is still reasonably obtainable for most of the pvp population and even incentivises those who do not normally pvp to try and get 2k just for those sets.
It would really bring participation to the sub 2100 bracket. Almost like when the pve people were pvping for the gear lol

Seriously though, some of these people seem to think they were turning water into wine to get their elite sets.
Bring back the cosmetics, set them to a reasonable rating so that the general population will actually want to play. There is a reason they lowered the rating requirements for these sets. Anything too far above 1800 for them is probably a mistake if the intent is to get the queues moving, since such a small portion of the population even get that far.
Iāve never seen mythic raiders whine this hard about their cosmetic rewards being farmable later on.

I think the trading post would be a neat way to bring some of the old sets back. Could have an entire ensemble for 1k tendies or something.
Hot take, but your life is not altered when someone has the same pixels as you. I have a substantial amount of the original mage tower weapons, and I couldnāt care less if they added them back for people to do the challenge (wasnāt even a challenge at the end anyways). Gatekeeping because you want to feel special is only going to lead to a smaller and smaller player base. 2100 plus some wins per character (hell even account) per season to go buy a sack of old pixels is not unreasonable at all (vicious Coat rack). Iād even recommend we add in something like turning in 20 vicious saddles to buy an old unarmored glad mount because there are various color schemes that would be nice to have and Iām tired of staring at 100 saddles across my account

As someone who didnāt start rated PVPing til BFA and missed out on a lot of cool sets, I think they should be left exclusive.
There arenāt a lot of exclusive mogs/pets/mounts/titles in this game, probably less than 1%, so itās fine to have some time limited/exclusive sets.

As a player that started during BC, I never viewed sets as something that was exclusive or earned. Back then, the gear that had a rating requirement during the current season, would be obtainable for only honor the following season.
Additionally, what about PVE? Despite everyoneās efforts in pve to get Mythic-only gear, eventually itās all able to be cleared super easily (and eventually 1 manned). Why is it ok to trivialize Mythic raiderās efforts but not PVPāers?
Regardless of your personal opinions, thereās no denying that opening up elite sets would draw more people to the game than it would deter. I think thereās simply a very vocal minority of snowflakes. The irony is that itās not even the best players, most of them donāt care at all. Itās usually just try-hards that struggled to get 1800-2k.

Hot take, but your life isnāt altered if you canāt obtain tmogs you werenāt able to obtain when they were obtainable. Allowing people to get old sets is such a lame and lazy solution to address the participation problem in PvP, and iām saying this as someone who isnāt able to get a bunch of sets iād love to have.

The best solution would be to just recolor older tier sets per season.
So make the elite set then make recolored elite set both exclusive to those seasons.

I actually think recolors would be awesome. Maybe 1800 for reg elite, 2100 for illusion 2200/2300 for recolor elite and 2400 elite weps/tabard.

Blizzard already went back on that it looks like though, everywhere else. People saying it devalues them basically either think PvP used to be harder than it is now, but not sure thatās entirely true.

Getting upset you canāt obtain a piece of pixel other people have previously earned is being egotistical.
This lie that people want this implemented to improve participation, when in reality its an excuse for their own selfish desires is so blatant and hilarious.
3 year olds realise that when you get a new toy, you play with it for a few days before you get bored of it.
