From what I read you have a very small and limited understanding of the game basics let alone anything complex.

Most of the arguments against masterlooter are the same arguments that were, and still are, used against same sex marrige, or trans bathroom rights. (I am not supporting these arguments or that viewpoint, just acknowledging it exists) The entire argument boils down to:
“I don’t like it, so you shouldn’t be able to.”

Most of the people complaining on GD are solo players or players that cant hack it in raiding guilds which is why they complain so much.
That is a pretty warped view to hold.
You alone can’t accurately quantify player demographics on the forum.
How about.
ML available to only full guild groups, and every person in the raid can choose to be part of the ML loot pool OR to have personal loot turned on for themselves.
You can trade or be traded with. You can’t be assigned loot from the ML pool, and all your drops are yours alone.
Purely opt in.
Its not. People that arent happy are more likely to be vocal and complain
