It is definitely not unanimous. If one player has the power over another to say, “Give that big upgrade to me OR ELSE”, then it is a power that can and will be abused.

You are gonna have a rough season when you blame all of your losses on boosts. You are probably using that excuse at the 1k bracket you are stuck at.
The player with the loot can’t be forced to giving it up. The, “Or else,” can mean leave the group/guild but that person still gets that item. With ML, that person won’t get anything unless no one else wants it.
Again, it’s more about player agency over their loot.

You are also one of the few people I know that think 2200 is big business. Just shows your skill level.
You also have no duelist achievement, don’t call yourself a washed up duelist. You aren’t a “has been” you are a “never was”.
I’m a noob when it comes to pvp. How fast do you earn and lose rating? And how can you get 2200 but then drop all the way to 1600? Does rating drop with inactivity?
New season. I mean, you can lose enough to drop but that would be massive losses to drop that far.
New season, everyone starts at 0. This season sucks so far because of tier so many people stopped doing PvP until tier is equalized.
Snozh could drop far from 2200 if he can’t win half of his games as a Hunter in 2s in essentially the sub LFR of PvP bracket.
What he has done is more or less died on trash in LFR on the way to the first boss and disband. That is a good way to paint a picture of how bad he is.
That’s what makes it the most fair option.
Let’s say you join a group with PLNR, and the rule to join the group is a ML style. If you don’t follow their rules and give up the item you received, you’re out.
If they use pure PL, and they don’t follow their rules (like changing loot rules on a specific boss to ML without telling PuGs), you have your gear and can’t be forced to give it up.
Both the group and the individual has agency over their run. “You don’t follow our rules, you’re out,” “Y’all don’t follow your rules, I’m out.” Player gets loot. In a ML group, that would be a small detriment, but it’s a small price to pay.
PLNR will never happen though.

I have 2353 rating back then there were actually teams. I team hopped to play canes and didn’t care enough to sit till the end of the season.
